Used my newly repinned and rehoned Suzumasa Kanoyama razor for todays shave. The old pins were just too crusty for my tastes, so I repinned the razor with brass rod and stainless washers. The edge on the blade off my Iwasaki choice stone was great, but I didn't get a very good shave today. It's often hard to figure out exactly how I should shave below my jaw, because the hair runs W-E on one side and E-W on the other, so it's hard to get a good WTG pass in either direction. I usually end up with some kind of XTG, which irritates the skin since it's sensitive.

And let me thank Robert for repeatedly praising uberlathers, because I probably wouldn't have tried them otherwise.

    Suzumasa Kanoyama razor
    Kanoyama 50K strop
Carrie M's Lemongrass (awesome cream!) + QED Lime shaving soap + glycerin
    Thather 22mm brush
Alum (burned like hell on some spots under the jaw)
    Carrie M's unscented ASB

Cream: Trumpers Limes + Proraso + a drop of glycerin
    Razor: Folding Kamisori "Wakami"
    AS: Shiseido "Basala"
Result: I waited a week or more to try this razor, and did not shave in anticipation of it. I took it to the hones yesterday after receiving it from Japan, and after a good 30 minutes of figuring out how to make this thing sharp I received an edge that is better than any other razor i own. I'm in heaven.

    Shave on!

Never seen before such a razor. Beautiful design. The scales are also very nice. Congrats

Talking Case of the Mondays...Except for an amazing shave

    Prep: Nice, Hot Shower
Razor: Dovo "Best Quality" 6/8, Full-Hollow, Carbon Steel Razor (with a rejuvenated edge thanks to a couple laps on an old Swaty I scored on eBay).
    Strop: Brookstone Leather/Linen Strop
    Soap: Proraso Eucalyptus/Menthol Shave Soap
Dish: What used to be our sugar bowl. Don't have a scuttle yet
Brush: RoyalShave Badger Hair Shave Brush
Aftershave: Nivea For Men Replenishing Post-Shave Balm

Result: Thanks to a nice Swaty barber's hone I snagged on eBay, I got a BBS shave off a like-new edge. This shave also came with the best lather, IMO, I was able to whip up in the short while I've been shaving with a straight.
