Post Week of November 7 SOTD - Friday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Razor: 7/8" Novelty 1879, 1/2 Hollow, Spike Point
    Brush: 25mm Vestavia Silvertip Badger
Überlather: CarrieM Dragon's Blood Shave Creme + Mama Bear Almond Shave Soap + Glycerin
Astringent: Thayer's Witch hazel (Lavender, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-Free Moisturizer
    Cologne: Alt Innsbruck EDT
Result: I had missed my CarrieM creme...In my adventures testing out the different soaps/cremes and the various combinations that one can achieve with them, I had (almost) forgotten what a wonderful lather it produces. I mix CarrieM and Mama Bear for a beautifully slick and moist überlather. In fact, this thing was so moist that one would have to work extra hard (or extra slow) to get it to go dry . Once the thick foundation was set and the prep done, the Novelty came out and did what she was intended to do; clean up...and what a great job of that she did...like a pro criminal, she erased all traces of evidence behind her. She's my kind of blade. The side effect? I have a hard time wiping this BIG smile off my face . To finish things off: Alt Innsbruck + Trumper's moisturizer - a dynamic duo. A little Alt goes a very long way. I really love the clean, no nonsense smell of this cologne.

I shaved with it last night, but had to use it again tonight to make sure I wasnt hallucinating.

Excellent C&S Grant . One never tires of using (or seeing) a good blade.

Even if you were hallucinating, I would call that a worthwhile hallucination .
