Thread: Sun November 07th - Sat November 13th

Is it just me or has all the Thanks been removed? Also the thanks tab is not showing up. The thanks tab is appearing in other threads just not SOTD.

My "Thanks" tab is gone also, and I'll be honest in saying that I won't miss it!

For one thing, I appreciate the efforts of everyone who posts in Shave of the Day, and hopefully, I don't need the "Thanks Tab" to express that! I see us as a Brotherhood... A kind of "Mad Monk Squadron" that enjoys each others photos and razor porn.

For another, I've been thanked thousands of times and never expressed an original or helpful thought to add to the knowledge base of the straight shaving community. Frankly, the number of times I had been thanked embarrassed me... As if I was adding to the helpful and thoughtful posts.

To my way of thinking, I'd be much more comfortable with no "Thank You" button whatsoever... If I'm helped with a query or a novel idea, I'll express that in my post. It removes some pressure as how the other guy will perceive my gratitude... So, for me, it's a plus!

To once again use my absolute favorite mantra... Less is More!
As always... YMMV

EDIT..

As an added thought for the Moderators, please feel free to reset my "Thanks" and "Thanked" numbers to zero. I say this with no malice or hard feelings whatsoever... I'd just feel more comfortable without them.

Result: Sorry for the late post, I had to work a different shift today and it really messed up my whole routine. The Tabac Uberlather delivered as expected and the “Friday” Kobar delivered an amazingly close shave.

1) Love the Tabac...the Tabac über rocks (literally)

Ahhh...you read my mind Bill. Great choice. We (wife and I) are getting ready for a "later than usual" hike and after it, I was thinking to do the DE route myself today
