    Scuttle:Dirty Bird Custom Double
Brush:TGN 24mm Premium A in Custom Crimson swirl
    Strop:SRD PIV English Bridle

    Razor: Engelswerk
After shave: Ogallala Bayrum & Sandalwood
    EDT:L'Occitane Vetyver

Result:2 passes this morning with the Engelswerk and I'm feeling heavenly. I just have to make it through today and I'll be on vacation for 1 week. I'll start it off right tomorrow morning by heading to the Mid Missouri Meetup. I'm looking forward to seeing some of the same people as last year and meeting some new ones. After returning from the Meetup, I'm just planning some fun time with the family...and working on some razor projects (of course)

    Have a great Friday everyone!

    Jeff,
Do you usually stop after the 8k? I am asking because for me, the 8k is a bit harsh (off the naniwas at least). 12K + CrOx should do the trick for you (hopefully). This is why this honing thingy can be fun...one size doesn't fit all. Each blade has her own requirements. Have fun

    Razor:Iberia 13
Strop: Ambrose "corto" Spanish Horse (25/50)
    Brush:shavemac D01 silvertip
    lather: Truefitt&Hill 1805
    AS: Truefitt&Hill 1805
    EdT:Trumper's GFT
Comments:A spanish razor different than fily, Iberia was the brand of the straight razors made by Bassat, a company that made the blades known as "Filomatic". The olive wood scales are much better than the original (broken) black plastic scales. Not a terrific shaver as fila 14. Today a full 1805, a scent that I like a lot, the perfomance of the cream is not the best in glide and moisturizing properties but it runs. I don'thave the 1805 EdT but GFT goes well with the T&H scent.

If only Max could get G10 Purple colored scales...Hmmmmm!! Food for thought.

Notes: Nice, smooth shave, but too much preshave oil killed my suds today. Ah well, still a great shave. One day I'm gonna find out what that stamp really says, and then I'm going to buy myself another of these. I really like it a lot.
    Sten,
That's a beautiful "Mystery" razor. Nice scales too. Well done. Sorry about the suds (those darn pre shave oils always get in the way, LOL). have you tried just pre-shave oiling, leaving it in for 5 minutes, than washing it away? That's what I used to do in my pre-shave oil days and it worked like a charm. Whiskers are happy, brush is happy, suds are happy.

    Grant,
I think it's probably 2 & 3, not you. I have 4 coticules and for me, they're touch and go. They are finicky stones for sure (I think). Try different hones maybe? You'll get it to perfection soon enough with this blade...no worries there.
