Yeah, I'll probably have to bring it down to at least 8K if not the 4K. I have some other razors to work on as well, so I'll just throw it on the pile.

The first one (creme + soap + glycerin). I rarely do two cremes or two soaps (but I have tried...it's still good. With 2 soaps it's a bit harder as you need to clean the brush before using the other puck). 2 cremes is easier.

More is better, LOL. For me, sometimes just honing one razor is not worth the hassle. The setup takes too long to justify one blade, LOOL. Have fun

Very nice razor ... I got the chicken version R89 and the quality and weight makes it a true pleasure to use ... Is it aggressive ?

Today was one of those "I need a simple and fast shave ..."

    Pre: Hot shower
    Brush: badger brush
    Cream: Erasmic
    Razor: Muhle R89
    Razor blade: Wilkingson Sword
    Post shave: Nivea balm

Result: 2 Pass smooth and a quick fix for that satisfying "clean shave" feeling.

From a beginners point of view this thread is amazing ... Come on FUEL my RAD ...

Star: Michael Madsen ... (aka Mr Blonde)
Music: "Stuck in the middle with you" Stealers Wheel
Scene: Black suit .... interrogation ... razor ...

    Quentin Tarantino "Reservoir Dogs" LOL

And it was just a nick. Cold water and some alun and it was OK :-)

I am curious about the brush handle finish...Is she protected with some varnish/CA or something? The reason I ask is because I have a Rudy Vey in Kingwood and I opted not to have it covered with anything and I worry about when it gets wet.
Thank you Robert! They´re a little bit more rare than the 30 series, but I think they´re of a later model than the 30 series (I guess they produced less and less straight razors). Mine is a 1/4ish, so it´s pretty wedgy too though. Some factory sheets I got say that the B K series are 1/4 and that the M K series are more of a 3/4ish (they don´t use that ground system in the factory sheets). The sheets I got are for a certain time frame, so it could have been different for a different time frame (Heljestrand seemed to like changes ).
