Thursday
Another fine and sunny day in Oslo. I'll be enjoying honing some new arrivals outdoors on my terrace.
Pre-Shave: A good washing. No shower for me for the next 12 days. Brush: Rooney's Finest, 25mm Razor: Charlie Lewis Custom, 8/8", Spike point in Mammoth Ivory Strop: SRD Premium IV, English Bridle Soap/Cream:Acqua di Parma Colonia Scuttle:Schwarzweisskeramik, Large White Astringent: Thayer's Medicated SuperHazel After shave Balm: Martin de Candre, Coprah Oil EdT: Acqua di Parma Colonia Results: This was a good and comfortable shave, I tried to make every stroke count, being as effective as possible without rushing it. The extra focus on technique was an interesting test. I still like to challenge my technique every once in a while, and find that I always benefit from that in the long run. The Acqua di Parma cream is climbing on my list of top performers, a wonderful product with awesome performance and great scent.

Todays shave was splendid, just a little about the raw vanilla eau de cologne, the scent is quite simular to my L'Occitane Bavx EDT, along with the west indian limes I came away feeling as if I just stepped on some exotic Island in the Caribbean, I love the rich sweet sticky scents this shave brought to my nose, simular to a lovely pumpkin cheese cake, now lets cut to the shave, two pass shave minor touch up, felling just fine.

Whatever it was the razor removed from my face left no trace. Must have been something tiny, but is sure bled a lot. I guess I'll have to look into a Jnat. I have to wait a short time. If any other shaving materials "appear" my wife will use one of my very sharp razors on a particular part of my body that I'd like to keep a while longer.
My plans for 11 days: Shoot up to Mass and annoy Rene over breakfast if he has the time. Drive down to DC and annoy Bill during the entire day, if he has the time. If things work out, I'll have company on my way to DC.
The rest of the time I will spend purging my garage and playing with my larger toys.
You mention two traits, how about a third: The razor removed something from my face last night during my shave. After, I found no evidence of any type of injury site. I just don't UNDERSTAND what the razor did or why. Sound familiar?“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”

Pre-Shave: Hot shower with conditioner in the stubble Brush: 25mm Shavemac Silvertip Razor: Akatombow Frameback, Spike point in Elk Bone Strop: Kanayama Soap/Cream:DR Harris Almond + Acca Kappa 1869 + Glycerin Astringent: Thayer's Lavender After shave: Vintage Knize Ten EdT: The Knize Ten Results: I love these shaves where you think you're just waving your arm along in front of your face, when in reality you're dragging a straight razor through the stubble. My uberlather was luxurious and had a heavenly almond scent. I really hit the sweet spot today! The Akatombow has done a wonderful job of holding its edge and remains ubersharp while the elk bone scales Glen put it in give a tremendous balance and feel in the hand. It danced through the piles of lather leaving nothing but smooth skin in its wake. The piece de resistance came from the wonderful and very traditional leather and lavender accord that is The Knize Ten!

Today is the third razor Bill honed and this is the last of the blind shave test. I used the same soap and cream as before to eliminate that as a factor. A nice smooth edge. Not as smooth as the others but still smooth. Thank you Bill.
So my guess is:
Genco army/navy on the Thuri
Genco gold seal Jr on the Jnat
HJ Herskovitz on the Chosera.
This is tough because i have never shave off a thuri or chosera. That i know of.
