Congratulations on getting through your first time and what a beautiful razor to do it with

    Strop: MickR's Kangaroo Hide
    Brush: Comoy Badger
Cream: Al's Bomb Custom Frankincense, Myrrh and Vetiver
    Razor: Long Life 11/16
    Astringent: Thayer's Original W/H
    Balm: C.O. Bigelow Mentha
    A/S: Old Spice
The Al's cream was another sample that Glenn (Sharp) recently sent me. Glenn instructed me to use only a pea sized amount of cream and that was plenty. I whipped up a beautiful and fragrant lather. My 6 year old daughter gave her enthusiastic approval on the scent too.
With a combination of great blade and great lather I could feel almost zero friction between blade and face.
A fantastic shave, only took 2 passes to return me to a state of BBS.
Thanks for the great posts and pics fella's

    .

Razor:José Monserrat Pou 14 "Medallón Taurino" Estocada
    Strop: Pressed wool+latigo (25/50)
    Brush:Semogue 1305
lather:Dr. Selby + lavanda de Ach. Brito
AS: Eau de Cologne Lavanda de Ac. Brito
    EdT:Czech&Speake, Oxford&Cambridge
Comments:Lavender day, started to cut some fresh lavender, as shown in the pic...I have no other options for this shave....then I have played with some of my better lavender friends, the Dr. Selby and Lavanda creams, that have given a nice and thick lather with the addition of the lavender scent. The "maestro" José Monserrat Pou was invited to the party, this razor has no mercy with my beard, and the shave was finished with a nice BBS, as smooth as I've used EdC as aftershave without matters. To finish some of the lavendish scents that I konw, the Czech&Speake Oxford&Cambridge EdT . Enjoy your day .
