Today's shave started with a hot shower as usual.
Stephan's SC rubbed into my whiskers
Dirty Bird Scuttle
Badger Brush
Castle Forbes Lavender Shave Cream
Boker Red Injun full hollow
150 Laps on leather
AOS aluminum
Pinaud Lilac Vegetal
Vaseline for men
This razor is special to me since it was the first one I ever tried to clean and hone. I used ultra-fine steel wool to remove the gunk from the blade. I had to remove some chips from the edge and then honed and stropped. This was all done on the Norton stones through 8K and before I had the 12K and Coti. She gave a nice shave the first few times out. Tonight I ran the razor over the 12K and then .5 crox and stropped on leather.
The edge was very sharp and very smooth. It was a very satisfying shave since I am still "honing" my skills at "honing" a razor.
Enjoy the evening.

Thanked: 146Crash what a great shave! I am trying myself to learn the art of honing. Good Luck! Must be a great feeling of satisfaction to know you did it yourself. Congrats!

Thanked: 1072Robert, congratulations on tracking this one down and completing your collection. That must be very satisfying, and with a honing regimen like that I'm not at all surprised she took a sweet edge
Great work, it looks beautiful now. Thanks for the before pic
Jeff, congratulations on taking the edge to a sweet new level.

Rum,
As nice as the bowl looks, I would not waste my money on it...Stick with the jar and save your money. It doesn't have the "Wowww" factor I thought it would.
As for the GFT moisturizer, it is my daily moisturizer. The main reason I use it is to mix it with the AS and apply it to face. Skin feels so awesome with this mix, you won't believe your eyes. Try it. Highly recommended
As for the MdC EdTs...They are all great. The Limette is quickly becoming my favorite of the 3, with the Vetyver running neck and neck. The lavender was one I was not too crazy about (wife loved it though) and it is slowly growing on me. Of course, the Copra oil is a bit oily, but it has fantastic moisturizing capacity...So, just an invisible dab on finger tips is all you need to cover the face in thin layer of oil that lasts and smells great.
Hope this helps buddy
I will wait to hear...very curious
Sten,
You shave twice day? Once after your AM shower and one in the afternoon?????
Excellent Teiste
Beautiful shot José
I really appreciate the RP Paul...beautiful blade my friend.
Beautiful "Sentimental" blade Jeff. Congrats on getting an edge that she deserves.
Thank you Grant. Patience does pay off at the end ;-)

Ah thanks. My brain isn't working today...(getting old)
I'll prob go back down to a 4K/8K norton and then my naniwa 12K then pasted 10 passes each HPF CrOx and HPF White paste. I've been playing around with balsa wood but the jury is still out for me whether I like them or not... I've also been playing with diamond .125micron on wood mount HPF."We sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm."

Thanked: 1072Tom, are you using the DE for a head shave?
