Just got done off the hones, this razor honed up after having to use a rolling x stroke, it was worth the effort, DFS.
Great bunch of shaves all week. Haven't yet figured out who I am more jealous of. Either Robert, Mikael, or Birnando. You guys definitely have my admiration of all the fine razors you have. Hard to be envious of such a great bunch tho...Luck is a matter of preparation meeting opportunity. ~Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Thanks! So is the Lavender like O&C by C&S? Or anything like the Castle Forbes Lavender products? I think the Vetyver sounds appealing though. I don't like very spicy vetiver scents, but if this is as traditional as they make it to be, might be worth a shot. Likewise for the Copra Oil!

Received this razor from Robert Williams today. I just opened it up, dipped it in barbicide for a while and then shaved. Nice smooth shave.
All I have to say is my razor photography sucks.
Enjoy the evening.

This shave is from sundays shave. Crown and sword. I have 2 of these and one wash honed by a honmeister and this by me. Both do NOT give that great of a shave. IS it me or has someone out there been able to get a smooth edge on these Crown & Swords?

Todays shave was provided by Bill. He was kind enough to hone 3 razors for. A blind shave test for myself. 3 Different methods. Genco army/navy and a Genco gold seal jr. Both delievered an outstanding shave. The gold seal is smoother and the army navy was smooth very sharp but had an ever so slight irritation or maybe a crispness from it being so sharp. Neither of them being a downside.
