    Paul,
Actually, there are two creme versions: (1) older formulation in the tube (the one you have) and (2) the newer formulation in the tub. #2 is the better variety. They have significantly improved performance (that's the one you want). I think the soap is OK, not as good as the creme in the tub though. I like it mainly for it's wooden bowl and for ubering. Once you find the sweet spot with the soap/creme, it is an amazing combo. Soap w/ Bowl is not worth the price tag though. If you PM me your address, I will send you some sample of the new formulation creme...alternatively, this thing is pretty cheap to get at $20 a tub. Amazon has it here.
Robert I am the same way with my str8's and I may take you up on the cream.

Robert that is significantly different as it is Almond scented. Mine is not. More of a mossy overtone. Actually I just got a new Razorock soap in. The Limited number artisan shaving soap here. It is a wonderful Almond. #6 of 100 made. If it performs anything like Cella the price will be great as it's a heafty block of soap. Actually PM me and I'll send you some. Very soft. Makes Cella seem like hard soap. I'm trying it tomorrow for the first time.

    Prep: Hot shower
Brush: Omega synthetic (sorry can't remember the model number at the moment)
    Cream: Al's Bodega
Mug: Honking huge coffee mug-jet black
Strop: Newly arrived 2.5inch Walking horse English bridal (put a couple pics in "show and tell" under "Walking horse strop)
Razor: 6/8 Dovo Special "old faithful"

Just my standard 2 pass shave but OMG my pretty mug is Baby smooth. Add that to my already giddy mood from having the new stop show up and I'd ady that I had one hell of a fine day.

    Shave on,
    Michael

    4/8 Champion Wedge / 22mm Silvertip / T&H West Indies Lime / Gillette / Bay Rum & Cedar & Sage / Tend Skin

Tonight's shave needed to be relaxing being so late in the evening. My little wedge performed excellent and the T&H with a few drops of glycerine produced a prodigious amount of lather tonight. It was the best part of the shave. I didn't really enjoy the scent of the West Indies Lime though. I won't be trying any more of that. I followed it up with some bay rum splash, who's wonderful aroma keeps me sniffing up to bed time.

    Enjoy your evenings/mornings!!

I love this concoction Jeff. I plan in using NB tomorrow AM too (can't wait). That W&B is fantastic too.

    Michael,
What a wonderful start to the day. Everyday should be like this. Congrats on the new strop as well.

Looks like you're way on your way to beat me, LOL. I have not been collecting all that long (say from March of 2010). I don't have a picture of the entire collection. One of these days

AWESOME Mike...What a nice feeling, but sorry about the scent being "meh". Lather and prep are the best of the shave for me too. it just feels fantastic rubbing all that goodness into the whiskers for as long as it takes.

    Thanks Robert.

The Myrsol range of products are very good indeed. The Emulsion is a kind of fresh scent, slightly on the lemony scent side I would say, very rich and kind to the skin. By no means a one-dimensional scent, though. Not used it as pre yet but as you may already know, fellow shavers over at the Spanish forums do use it a lot and are very happy with it.

I also have the 'Balsamic water' after shave. This one in a sense reminds me of Thayers' witch hazel. Quite moisturizing for an after shave as well. Overall Myrsol products are highly recommended, if one has a chance of trying one or more.
