eTom joke or not I take very little personally. I figured it was. But I am saving for something better. It clashes with my razor. I have been looking for a gray one.

This razor represents my first rookie attempt at honing a straight razor. I took it through the entire progression on my Naniwas--1k thru 12k. This was a test shave. The result was quite good, although I think the edge may need a bit more refinement. We’ll see.

SRD SOTD
Great posts and shaves today, Gents! I went to a fine meet at Bob Allman's last weekend! Lynn was present and it was great to meet him, Bob, and some local "razor nuts"! Door prizes were drawn for and I came away with some Blood Orange soap and an SRD strop!!!!! I saved them for today's SOTD and am happy to say that my Henckels #38 came up in rotation today as well! The strop is nice. It is my first 3 incher and the nylon fabric really zips! The leather is a bit harder than what I am used to, so it does not have the heavy "draw" I have been accustomed to, but I am keeping on with it as I think the shaves will be the telling thing! The soap is very good! The scent is light and invigorating and lathers up sweet and slick with lots of cushion. Gonna have to get some more samples! Of course the #38 has never let me down and surely did not today. Awesome Shave!! Have a great labor day and stay the course in the following week as we remember 9/11 . Thanks Lynn!!!!!.......get it on.....Tom
