This one came out good too but it was the last shot from that bag and now I'll have to change bag (same beans though), but it's always some fine tuning before you hit the sweet spot.

No, don't, but his sons know perfectly how to build wooden boats, but from some years ago their best product (the trainera for the races) has no place in the market, and they have to change their jobs

    Razor: Kamisori by Mizuike Kobo
    Brush: Frank silver tip badger
Soap: Col Conk Glycerine - Lime - If anyone knows of another lime or citrus soap better then the Col Conk let me know!
    Hone: Tomae
    Strop: Dovo 1.75"
Cologne: Giorgio Armani - Acqua Di Gio
Summary: I spend a hour or so getting an edge on this little Kamisori that i received about as sharp as a bread knife. I gave it a strop on my Dovo with a touch of diamond powder and it came up very nice, BBS with two passes! One of my best Japanese shaves i have had! Big thanks to onimaru for finding this one for me!

Excellent shave with "Shave Library" soap "Lost Generation" from Etsy.com. It has a strong cedarwood scent and lathers extremely well. The Dovo Bismarck always performs admirably.

Post Week of September 4 SOTD - Monday

    A LABOR DAY SHAVE

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 26mm Saville Row 3326 Silvertip Badger
Maxtom: 15/16" Max Sprecher, 1/4 Hollow Ground, French Point (w/ Makume Gane scales)
Strop: 20/45/45 (Neil Miller Linen / Imperial Horsehide leather / Imperial Cordovan leather)
Überlather: Martin de Candre Shave Soap
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Lavender, no alcohol)
After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Amber AS
Moisturizer: Martin de Candre Oil of Copra
Cologne: Martin de Candre "Lavende" EdT
Results: What an incredible shave. Four plus days of uncontrolled growth wiped away with pretty much one of a handful of razors that could live up to the challenge, i.e., the Maxtom. The Martin de Candre needs no introduction to this audience. It provided a luxuriously rich lather, resulting in the "perfect" prep. The end result left me feeling like a million bucks .

Have a WONDERFUL Monday gentlemen . For those of us in the USA who are celebrating Labor Day Holiday, may you have a SAFE & RELAXING day.

Thank you for the kind words Jamie...Unfortunately, uploading some of these pictures plays tricks with the colors (even though it's uploaded as sRGB). The tree trunk is a wonder of nature, imo. Everyone was passing it by to go to the falls and no one stopped to take a closer look. The break was fantastic as were the activities

    José,
I didn't get a chance to say it, but:

    1. Your daughter is beautiful indeed...You better watch out for the boys
    2. You seem to be quite a boatman in the family tradition. Very nice sport. I never witness "the Flag of La Concha", but I think after reading your post and the tradition associated with it, I would like to

Very nice memories and tradition that runs in the family blood.

    Tim,
Sounds like a great soap...I love Cedarwood. What else is in it (ingredients)?
