Post Week of September 11 SOTD - Wednesday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Brush: 24mm Thäter Silvertip Badger
Razor: 11/16" F.W. Engels "Perfect Temper", Full Hollow Ground, Spike Point
Honing (touch up) Regimen: Naniwa Chosera 8k/10k + Maruichi Nakayama Kiita/Asagi Hybrid w/ tomonagura progression
Strop: 0/0/0 (Neil Miller Linen / Imperial Horsehide leather / Imperial Cordovan leather)
Überlather: L'Occitane "Cade" Shave Creme + L'Occitane "Cade" Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-Free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Blue AS
After Shave Balm: L'Occitane "Cade" ASB
    Cologne: L'Occitane "Vetyver" EdT
Results: Today was an Engels/Thäter/Cade kinda day. The Engels was refreshed on the stones last night and as one would expect, performed marvelously. I really like the edges of my hybrid JNat, which gets me a smoother edge than my "pure" Asagi. Of course, now since I have a 5-7 weeks wait time (Yiiiiikes!! ) for my 2-band Thäter brush to arrive, might as well kick my feet up, pour myself a drink (or two ), light a cigar and use my 3-band, which whips up lather like nothing else, be it soap, creme or anything in between. She did wonderfully well with the Cade combo...And the Cade scent? Ohhhh that intoxicating scent of Cade...it's seductive and captivating to say the least. It certainly reminded me of why I became a wetshaver. I am sporting a CBS face with absolutely zero irritation.

    Have a WONDERFUL Wednesday gentlemen.

I'm sure liking the sound of that shave, and loving the look of that sweet razor.

    Jack,
That's a very beautiful Friodur...Is she sporting a blue tang or it just looks that way in the pict?

A perfect visual & functional match - great hardware, Robert!
Sometimes I think you should shave twice a day - at least
