09-16-2011, 04:05 PM #211SPLENDID Shaves my friends. In celebration of SRP being back in full force:
T.,
Great razor/creme and +1 on SRP. It is when we don't have it that we realize how much we mis and depend on it
EA,
So, you couldn't shave because SRP was down, LOOOOOOL? Man, you have it real bad my friend, LOOOOL
Enjoy your time with your friends and the "tour" as well as dinner. Sounds like fun.
Hi Mike,
What a nice tribute to all involved. Kudos to all of them, especially family. It's fun when everyone is involved and cares about what's important and enjoyable to you. This brotherhood is unique in every way. Thank you for being part of it and making it a better place.
PS: Great gear too
Mikael,
Sorry about Mr. Nick brotha, but I love that gear for today. Great looking Lavo too
PS: You bought a new brush from Rod? Way to go bro...You're on a roll.
LOOOOOOOOOL. That's too funny Angel. I think everyone here to some degree felt the same. +1 on Tabac...extraordinary soap indeed
But more importantly, I like your avatar my friend. Loooooking cooooooool brother
Béla,
Excellent shave today. When the English and the Germans decide to collaborate, there's magic to be made
What a beautiful shot José
Mikael,
Every time I see that Chubby 3 of yours, I want to order one. She has the perfect bulb shape. Great razor choice too. So, one could also think of her as "Puma by DD", LOL. Well done my friend
Welcome to SOTD Goc...Great shot, gear and shave
Jack,
Gotta looooove these kinds of days...when everything just comes together. Great shave buddy
Beautiful shave Monroe. Great Superlather
Wowww Jamie,
You've done it again with another great shave. Well done. I don't follow rugby, but I am surprised that Russia and USA are even contenders (that wasn't the final, was it?)...I didn't think it's popular here in the states. But, I guess it explains that one of their star players (??) is English, :-)...and if he's from your neck of the woods, he's bound to be a great guy.
Excellent shave today GI
There was a decision to ban us all, LOOOOOOOOOOL...But then they realized the place wasn't the same without us
Bill,
Is that the new Bomb custom you were telling me about? Sounds awesome buddy
As to the shave being a reward for doing something right in your past life: Maybe so, but it could be our punishment for doing something wrong, LOOOOOOOOOL
Awesome shave buddy
Nathan,
With that combination, no whisker stands a chance. LT is amazing indeed
I love it Angel...Great shave
It was (just for you), LOOOOOOOOOOL. But they realized it wouldn't work
Great choice indeed
Wunderbar indeed Monroe. Beautiful blade
Great job BM
We too brother, we did too. Great shave to start the new and improved SRP
Kalerolf,
That sounds like a wonderful scent. I love Bergamot
Birnando,
A Super Extra Hollow???? That is the first I ever heard of this...Now, I gotta look into this more, LOOOL. Great looking blade
PS: Too bad the DC is no longer to be found anywhere.

Week of September 11 SOTD - Friday
Pre-Shave: Hot shower Brush: 26mm Saville Row 3326 Silvertip Badger Maxterpiece: 7/8" J.A. Henckels #19, 1/2 Hollow (loose) Ground, Spike Point (w/ Lime G10 scales + blue wedge) Strop: 30/55/55 (Neil Miller Linen / Imperial Horsehide leather / Imperial Cordovan leather) Überlather: Pré de Provence Shave Creme + Pré de Provence Shave Soap + Glycerin Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Lavender, no alcohol) Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-Free Moisturizer After Shave Splash: Provence Santé AS After Shave creme: Sabon Cologne: Tabac EdT Results: Ahhhhhh!!! What a magnificent shave today with the Henckels . This one (and her orange scaled cousin, the #17) is one my lovely wife's favorites. She's totally digging the color match up. Can anyone blame her? After all, she's got Max/ signature all over her . I ran her a few extra laps on the strops today to make sure her edge was ready...and ready she was. The Pré de Provence was a combination that hadn't seen much action lately, but today I was reminded of how much I had really missed the scent and performance of this duo . Once again, another beautiful shave that stands true to form .
Have a BEAUTIFUL Friday gentlemen .

Today's relaxation started last night with a light dinner, small amount of ice cream and a glass of scotch. This morning while sitting with my coffee and reading I was joined at Starbucks by my daughter who stopped in on her way to work. I certainly enjoyed her company after which I went for a hair cut. Once the hair was done, continued home and took a shower and shave.
The weather today is beautiful, clear and cool. I opened all the windows in the house and then did my shave. I have to say I am so impressed with the Razorock products. They lather up nice and thick and the aroma is wonderful.
The Dubl Duck performed just great. Dave (Cannonfodder) did such a great job on this razor I can't say enough. The edge is so nice, just strop and shave. I could have stopped after the first pass but I did three. With the windows open the air in the room was crisp and I totally enjoyed myself.
The Penn Stater comes home tonight so we will all be together this evening. Enjoy the day!!!
I did this at 0930 but forgot to post....

Yeah, it says so on the blade
The Japanese makers seem to go a bit overboard with their superlatives sometimes..
It's a singing hollow, but nothing out of the ordinary in that regard.
The DC is hard to find these days.
I was lucky to find a few tubs in Italy, and promptly had a contact down there ship them to me
Hopefully there is more to be had before my current stash run out.Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

TGIF SOTD 9 - 16
.
.Locale: The Place That Scars Come From. Music: Elvin Bishop - Raisin' Hell Prep: Warm Shower / Virgin Oil Rub Razor: Wester-Stone - 'DAMASCAS' 5/8 Strop: Chestnut 3" Star 50/75 Brush: Montclair No. 6002 Old English Boar Post: Alum - Humphrey's Jasmine AF Witch Hazel Uber: TOBS Sandalwood straight to face AS: Pinaud Clubman Original EdC: Avon Signature Result: Nice early evening shave. Great music, I have not listened to Elvin in a long time. The Wester - Stone 5/8 DAMASCAS is a great little shaver. It's one of those suprise razors that looked really bad when I got it, but a nice little razor came out from underneath all the grime. It hones easily and with the TOBS delivers a wonderful experience.
Happy Shaves!!!!
Mike-- Any day I get out of bed, and the first thing out of my mouth is not a groan, that's going to be a good day --

B.,
