Thursday
Razors: 6/8 JM Schmid & Son; Merkur Futur
Blade: Astra (5)
Brush: Omega Boar
Soap: Institut Karite
A/S: Old Spice
Probably my best straight shave thus far! Three passes with the JM Schmid followed by a partial pass with the polished chrome Futur to smooth out the few areas I didn't quite get with the straight (mostly at the bottom of my neck). Using the Futur for that part of the shave reminded me why it's my favorite DE: it provides such an effortless shave (for me) and get so close! I would class today's shave as a BBS shave for sure! Following up the shave with witch hazel then Old Spice was a great way to start the day!

Thanked: 146[quote]What a super shave Joe. It goes to strengthen the notion that size ain't everything. How's the scent of the SRD Vanilla? I need to get myself two things; (1) an unscented creme, and (2) an unscented soap. I wished Al made the creme, but he said that would be custom [quote]
Robert, the SRD Vanilla is nice, just a tad sweet for me but very subtly. I really love their Vetiver though. Could I recommend the AOS unscented creme? I use it regularly and really like it for Ubers.Luck is a matter of preparation meeting opportunity. ~Lucius Annaeus Seneca

10-13-2011, 04:40 PM #289Razor:Bismark
Brush:Jade and brass handled boar
Cream:Palmolive Lemon
AS:Thayers Lavender and Clubman original
Result:Time to take the Bismark to the hones to touch it up.While it was a good 3 pass BBS with no irritation, the edge was not quite where I know it can be.Other than that, great shave.
