    Default A CBS SHAVE

Prep: Hot water splashed on face. No pre-shave oils or balms since it will interfere it with the soap specially the Cella

Razor Selection: Dovo Best Quality 6/8 in blond scales. This was a test shave, more on that next.

Honing Program: The Dovo was pulling and just not cutting the stubble as it should. I selected to hone it with the larger Coticule that I own: Le Grand Frére. I raised a light slurry and taped the spine, I took the blade through ten dilutions at twenty laps per side; lastly I concluded with twenty laps per side with water only, stropped it on horsehide 45 laps.

Performance: WOW! The blade was super sharp and smooth. I only had to do one pass on the cheeks and two passes under the jawbone and neck area. The face is not irritated not needing any aftershave balm. My face is: CBS- Catfish Belly Smooth.

Soap & Brush Selection: Cella al olio di mandorla. Italian Soap. Hog’s hair brush a gift from Cyclelu

    Aftershave Selection: Old Spice

    SHAVE ON GENTS! HOG

Max It has to be satisfying and fun to see your past works of art scattered throughout the world. Somewhat of a legacy for you!

Been gone for a bit working more then I expected. Went for a simple shave today. 2 pass with single soap and a classic Cologne. Awesome shave with the Cacao soap. For the price I find RazoRock products lately to be captivating. Great lather with an almond/cocoa scent. the W&B needs no explanation but CBS in 2! Just a few under the chin but finally off today so I wont tell if you wont.
Great shaves everyone. Is it me or does it seem as if SOTD is growing a bunch lately?

Indeed, the popularity is growing, and we get our new members posting, and Robert hooks them in with his great appraisals of the days posts. It's fun as hell, and I feel like I'm a member of something greater than myself. Pretty cool that it even exists.

    I'm all in!!!

Like the Statue of Liberty welcomed newly arriving immigrants into the United States, Robert opens his arms to anyone seeking a home in the SOTD!
