Semogue Custom Boar | Razorock Chianti Lavender | Boker Edelweiss | Alum | Cade Balm | Mazzolari Patchouli

I think the RR Chianti Lavender and I are going to have a long, healthy and happy relationship! Color me impressed! The little Boker is my longest tenured razor and never fails to put a smile on my face.

The Cade Soap and Cream was delightful. The aroma is lovely and the lather was plentiful, thick and slick.
The Bow performed very well, knocking down the whisker easily.

    Enjoy the evening!!!
Hey Jeff Glad i could put the bug in your ear. Beautiful Bow!!! Looks like a sweet shave!

    Wednesday

A late shave today as I slept in; until 1130! Well, that’s what holidays are for. Doesn’t look like the camping is going to happen, so no mind blowing SOTD photo from Blow Hole Beach. Maybe in a few weeks.

I’ve decided, as lovely as my other two straights are, the Burrell is my favourite, not just because it was the first, but it gives a really nice shave every single time. It’s easy to strop, it’s the ‘right’ shape and weight, and it even sounds nice when it shaves. And it’s got a vicious spike to remind you it’s dangerous. Plus the wing emblem is way cool...

This is one of the cameras that may be taken for a walk to the markets shortly to be sold to buy more razors...

    Razor: Burrell Top Flight
    Pre Shave: Proraso
    Cream: Musgo Real
    ASB: None
    After Shave: None

I hope to improve my speed with a straight razor the more I use them.
    OS,
I hope that CT doesn't end up being bad enough that you have to resort to surgery. As to straight shaving and time: I don't about most folks, but I like taking my time (working or not). That's my only Me Time of the day. Enjoy the journey

It took me ~1 year before I spotted one in that condition (kind of like my recent W&B). Patience does pay off at the end

Rod made you a great brush. And you got yourself a deal buddy. Go ahead and call up Max. Rod is waiting to get the knots before making my brush. Can't wait.

However, once you lather it up the scent becomes much lighter and even more enjoyable.

It's one of these things that will possibly grow on someone, just like the lavender-biased MdC soap. The other lavender-related examples available in the market, e.g. T&H Ultimate Comfort, T&H Luxury, CF, etc. are much more straightforward lavender scents, if you get my drift. This is my personal and subjective opinion, anyway.
    Konstantinos,
That sounds like a typical and wonderful lavender scent. Albeit one dimensional in nature.

The girls are my fiances twins, soon to be 9 years old. In a few years time I guess I must keep a close look at the bad boys in the neighbourhood, but hey, I can scare anybody away with a straight in my hand, hehe!

La Rochelle was fantastic as always. Fantastic seafood and history in that small city. And just a small trip with train to Roquefort and Cognac, two of my favorites, the first paired with an aged Sauternes the other with a cigar from Vuelta Abajo, Cuba:-)

Glad you had a fine time in Vegas, but for us it is more pleasure to have you around the SOTD!!!
Thanks for your kind words buddy.

We have to get Amund's boy hooked up with one of your girls, LOOOOOL. Only 2 years apart

That vacation sounds like bliss brother...Roquefort and Cognac are great little side visits for sure. They are famous for their respective world famous exports of course.

Firstly, I missed posting yesterday morning, but I had my photo all ready, and my header organized, and I fell asleep at my desk, and when I woke up it was late and I rushed to bed and didn't get anything posted... So, here is my photo of Sunday Nights shave, and today's shave at the bottom....

I went to the effort to get the photo, it's getting posted, LOL! Of course, it was my favorite Puma, spieck, Humphrey's and Drakkar Noir EDT, and my whipped dog pure badger and Georgetown scuttle. I had a great shave, a small amount of razor burn, but that is due to my technique and the sharpness of this Puma. I can get such a close shave it's scary. I can burn myself easily on the ATG passes (which I do frequently).

    Here we go ...
