    (1) Razor - she looks beautifully rescaled (G10 is it?)
    (2) Coticule - I heard the Les Latneuses leave amazingly buttery smooth edge on a blade. Is she a slow or fast cutter?
    (3) your son's 11th Birthday - may he have the best celebration to date and celebrate another 100 (at least)

I guess you've got him a nice gift consisting some Clubman products, and a straight shaver starter kit

Robert, G10 for sure, and the Les Lat is a fast cutter on the regular side, but I haven't tried that yet, the "hybrid" side is very slow.
I felt I didn't go all the way with it so I redid the edge, starting with a light slurry, dilution to clear, then a bunch of strokes with water. Got a much more polished edge than my first try, tomorrows shave will tell!

    Warm Shower, Stephan's, warm oil
    Dirty Bird Scuttle
    New Forest Badger
    Cade Cream/Cade Soap/Glycerine uber!!
    Bow, 7/8, 1/4 hollow
    SRD 50 Linen, 100 leather
    RazoRock Aluminum
    Pinaud Island Lime
    Vaseline for men.

I was talking to Rene this morning and he was telling me about his Bow and that he honed it up and had a great shave. I told him I had one too, but he did not recall seeing it in the SOTD. well he planted the idea so I shaved with it today.
The Cade Soap and Cream was delightful. The aroma is lovely and the lather was plentiful, thick and slick.
The Bow performed very well, knocking down the whisker easily.

    Enjoy the evening!!!

Taken at work 2 days ago. Beard was easily twice that today.

A relaxing half hour with a Dovo Ebony, Proraso shaving soap and my Vie-Long Horse hair brush and I'm looking respectable again.

Finish it up with my Alum Block, Witch hazel, Nivea Mens Skincare and splash on some David Beckham Cologne...good as gold baby.

Since I`m in the same cold place, please find someone to pay for me also, hehe.. Welcome back Otto!

    Hey Arild,
Welcome back. I hope you had a great time in La Rochelle. It certainly brought back memories for me. That's a beautiful area with a very rich maritime culture.

Your girls are just beautiful my friend. I can already tell that they're going to be heartbreakers and you and your wife are going to have to watch the "boys" that want to hang around and keep them at bay, LOL

My wife and I took a quick trip to Vegas. But our trip doesn't even come close to what vacation you had brother.

    PS: Love your BB Damascus

Thank you Robert! Like others have stated before, your contribution in the SOTD thread are amazing, and very appreciated. Always a nice comment to everybody

The girls are my fiances twins, soon to be 9 years old. In a few years time I guess I must keep a close look at the bad boys in the neighbourhood, but hey, I can scare anybody away with a straight in my hand, hehe!

La Rochelle was fantastic as always. Fantastic seafood and history in that small city. And just a small trip with train to Roquefort and Cognac, two of my favorites, the first paired with an aged Sauternes the other with a cigar from Vuelta Abajo, Cuba:-)

Glad you had a fine time in Vegas, but for us it is more pleasure to have you around the SOTD!!!

I've used this picture of my Butcher Brothers 6/8 razor previously but felt it fit my shave today to a T. I've really been amazed with this $5 straight that I purchased about 12 years ago. It has always been a good shaver but as my honing, stropping and shaving technique has improved, this blade has really excelled. I never fail to enjoy using it for a very close and exceptionally comfortable shave.

By the way, I could be wrong but the blade appears to be nickel-silver plated.

    Prep:Hot Towel
    Scuttle:Imperial Shaving
    Brush:AOS Pure Badger
    Strop:SRD PIV
    Cream:C.O. Bigelow Cream
Razor: Dubl Duck Woderedge ¼ hollow
    After shave: C.O. Bigelow “Mentha”
    EDT: NOIR

Result: I hadn't used the C.O. Bigelow cream in a while, nor the Dubl Duck and I had forgotten how much I enjoy them. 2 icy cold passes of pure enjoyment. I finished off with the “Mentha” balm and felt as if my face were an ice skating rink, super slick, smooth, and ice cold...icy goodness I tell you!
Have a great day gentlemen! -Glenn-
