An excellent shave with the Max restored Shumate and the wonderfully economic Godrej cream ($2.97) which yields a great cushioning lather and a finish with one of my favorites, the GFT Spanish Leather. And today will be better than yesterday.
Nice choice Nathan...I would love to see that Maxterpiece of yours in a picture (sure you've shown it, but memory is not what it used to be for me, LOOOL). Also great choice with the Godrej

What a super shave Joe. It goes to strengthen the notion that size ain't everything. How's the scent of the SRD Vanilla? I need to get myself two things; (1) an unscented creme, and (2) an unscented soap. I wished Al made the creme, but he said that would be custom

Well done Matt. I was beginning to think that you had given up on straights, LOOOL

Being the "Psychotic Rust Annihilator" that I am, I polished it off and re-blacked the handle and spine,, I might use an older "Blacking" product that I have on the bench later, when I finish this razor up...
I wanted to test shave this one first before I invest more time in it... I sent pics to Jim but he just couldn't make out one of the Kanji, what he says basically {Ue - Up, Above.
Touroku Shouhyou - Registered trade mark But that bottom one remains unclear. Sorry} Many thanks to our friend in Japan, JimR for always trying to help
    Glen,
Kamisori Karma is working for you...Congrats on a wonderful score. Hard to say from the picture, but her silhouette shows awesome curves and lines. I bet you turned her into the stunner she deserve to be.

+1 on JimR...If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have scored my Maruka Asagi. besides, so many other help/recommendation/advice that it would take more than this thread to outline.

Results: Found this Bali stick NOS this summer, it's a Norwegian soap that went out of production in 1978-79, which means this stick is at least that old, but it was still sealed in the original double plastic when I got it so it still had quite a bit scent left. It makes a very nice slick lather and serves as perfect cushion for the Livi, and Clubman, well it's Clubman (but since I'm a night shaver I won't be late for work )
    Rune,
Love that Livi...especially he signature on the scales. Glad this new replacement is working better for you. Great touch. Nice score with the Bali

    Hey Books,
The Gillette 7 O'Clock is indeed a smooth blade. One of my favorites too. Your other softwares don't look bad either ;-)

Thanks for all the great pics and posts fellas! -Glenn-
    Glenn,
That was a close call. Good save, but sorry about the mini carnage on your strop
