    Another tropical shave day.

    Brush: VDH
Soap: Moma Bear's Spicey Lime (You put the lime in the coconut....)
Razor: Current favorite DoubleDuck GoldEdge off a Norton 8k with 50 canvas and 100 leather.
Scuttle: Custom by local artisan (based on Dirty Bird Designs) in sea foam green enamel
    Astringent: Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel

Excellent shave, not BBS but DFS. I think it's time to start looking for a good finisher to get that last bit of comfort I'm looking for.
    Mahalo for looking!

Yeah, day dreaming is very under rated...

DT 13 | Semogue | Santa Maria Novella | Thayers Lavender | SMN Acqua di Cuba

The Filarmonica can't be beat - smooth, sharp and efficient! I was really looking forward to trying this sample of the SMN cream because I'd heard wonderful things about it. I was underwhelmed. The scent reminded me of Proraso (without the strong menthol kick) and the performance, while certainly acceptable, was not inspiring. It's definitely not a cream of which I will be buying a tub anytime soon. SMN's Acqua di Cuba, on the other hand, is an outstanding scent. If you love a good tobacco fragrance, you can do much worse! Enjoy your Thursday, gentlemen...

    Thumbs up

A rather busy day ahead so I apologize for the lack of individualized comments (just the few below), but your shaves look marvelously delicious

Michael: Thank you for the link.

Mikael: Congratulation son your new camera brother. Looking forward to some very creative shots from you ;-)

    Konstantinos:
Hang in there brother. The best chapters in your book of life are waiting to be written. So far, it was the prelude. Congratulations on your BIG move brother

Carl: Using a razor right off the hones is something I like to do too. It is a true test of the edge "in the raw" so to speak...but recently I've been experimenting with the CrOx and it does require stropping. Loving the results, but will soon go back to my routine soon.

Bill: Thanks for the heads up on the SMN...I've been on the fence for a few months trying to decide whether I should go for it or not. That is a moot point now.
