    Thursday

Excellent shave today with the newly honed (very light 20 laps on the Shapton 16k) Törnblom, just sort of polishing. I’d like to see how good I could get this (or any) razor. Maybe a pasted strop (paddle?) should be next in line….It’ll have to wait BECAUSE I paid 2 hundred bucks today for a mechanic to tell me my gear box is stuffed, and it’ll be seventeen hundred to fix, and he “didn’t have x ray eyes” so he couldn’t tell me how long it would last. I almost punched him right in the kisser! I said I know you don’t have x ray eyes, I thought you might be able to give a ball park figure. He said drive it until you think you shouldn’t be driving this car any more. I hope he didn’t charge for the advice re his x ray eyes (or lack thereof) and/or advice. However, as stated, the shave was wonderful; simply wonderful…

Cufflinks of the day are my father’s. Nickel or something, with a chequered pattern, held together via a spring. Very serviceable and serious but still different. Makes it easy to get changed at the gym, too…(I did three sets of bodyweight dips, reps of 10, 10, 8, with 1.5 mins between sets, touching my chin to the bar at the end of my workout, the strongest I’ve been for about 9 months, it’s good to get back into it…

    Razor: Klas Törnblom
    Pre Shave: None! I forget!
    Shaving Soap: Proraso
    ASB: None
    After Shave: Clubman
    Eau de Toilette : None
Cufflinks of the Day : Nickle or somesuch metal, chequered pattern, held via a spring, my father’s…

Jabonman "brisa de oriente" is an scent close to bayrum. The lather is great I realy like it. It's the last time I use a DE blade for a fourth use even when only used for the last pass. Not a BBS shave, but no blood on the water. Have a nice.

OK, cool, I don't want to remove them though, I guess I could sort of hang them in a tall container of oil?

    Strop: MickR's Roo Hide
    Brush: Comoy Badger
Soap: RazoRock Italian Master Barber Limited Edition Shave
    Razor: Bengall 6/8
    Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel
    Balm: Nivea Replenishing
    A/S: Wahl Bay Rum
Tonight was my first shave with the RazoRock soap sample Rene sent me. (thank you sir)
It lathered up easily into a creamy delicious lather. Great stuff.
A very nice shave,3 passes later and I'm BBS.
I still think the Bengall could be a little sharper, so I gave it a few minutes on the stones after tonights shave.
I'll test it out again tomorrow night.
