Prep: Hot Shower + Musgo Pre Shave Oil
    Scuttle: G5
    Suds: L'Occitane Cade
    Brush: Jack Black Synthetic
Razor: N. Shure Co. restored by gssixgun
    Post: Alum + WH
    ASB: L'Occitane Cade

Results: DFS after 2 passes and then just a few touch up spots. I've now used the JB brush with 2 premium soaps/creams with less then stellar results. I'm going to take the product level down a bit and keep my word to SWMBO. I figure with all the soaps and creams I have at least one of them has to work GREAT with this brush right, right???????

Great shaves and pics all around boys!!!!

    Thursday

    Razor: Merkur Futur
    Blade: Astra
    Brush: Men-U boar
    Soap: TSD Irish Spring style
    Toner: Booster June Clover
    A/S: Pinaud Clubman

I'm giving my face a break from straights for a few days. The weather here has been vacillating between dry and humid and as a result I've developed some dry patches that get easily irritated when I shave them with a straight. The Futur/Astra combination did a fine job with my face. The Booster June Clover helped moisturize my face and the Clubman finish was as wonderful as ever.

Gotta love the Occitane suds! Bet it will work with Proraso, but surprised about the L'Occitane...usually a great performer for me. (and it was today!)

Gentlemen, it's a sparkling day here in Wisconsin with the temperature a comfortable 21 degrees. It feels like summer. Here is today's romp in the shave den:

    Razor: Merkur 34C HD
Blade: Personna on its second tour
    Brush: Simpson Duke 3
Soap: Taylor of Old Bond Street's Jermyn Street
    Scuttle: Moss
    Lather: Ayars bowl
    Alum
Witch hazel: Thayers Super Medicated with Aloe Vera
    Balm: Institute Karite
Aftershave: Taylor of Old Bond Street No. 74 Victoria Lime
Music: Cello Concerto by Sir Edward Elgar
Finisher: Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee and Raymond Chandler's pulp story Spanish Blood, which opens with: "Big John Master was large, fat, oily." What a dazzling opening.

    Hello Blix:
Yes, I, too, like this soap. I find it reigns among the top soaps in my humble shave den.
    Stay well.

Old W&B with blue giraffee bone dress. TOBS Rose cream with Castle Forbes Lavender. DB scuttle with 24 MMSilvertip. Topped off with Kouros and this shave was nicely sticky smooth. I look up to my twin in Wisconsin and see the temps continue to suck. So glad I'm in the south!! Yay the tax stamp came in on the new suppressor today! Off to the shooting range!
