Thumbs up Sun April 1st - Sat April 7th

    Location: 36° 0'5"N - 115° 15' 21"W
    Razor: Dubl Duck Special N1
    Brush: Thäter
    Soap: Qed's Badger & Blade
    Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel
    ASB: Nivea extra sensitive
    EDC: Badger & Blade

I can't believe it's already April the first. I'm enjoying every single day of spring watching everything bloom. Gorgeous day in Vegas today. A bit windy but nice and hot. Today I felt like taking my DD special numero uno for a shave. I didn't have to much stubble so I was pretty much BBS in 2 passes. I love that little razor and the BB cologne soap and cologne is to die for. Sweet sandalwood.

Watch out for those April fools' pranks . Enjoy the new week.

    Sunday

Interesting shave this morning with the De Pews. It was tugging a little, yet when I felt my face after it was very smooth. I might give it a few laps on the hones this week; it’s still not perfect. Maybe it never will be?

I spent the afternoon trimming the ivy hedge that runs around my house on two sides. I use ‘normal’ hedge clippers, so after three hours’ work it ends up being a pretty good workout.

    Razor: De Pews
    Pre Shave: Proraso
    Cream: C O Bigalow
    After Shave: Floïd

Default Replies to last Week's SOTD

Last Week's thread closed before I could post my replies, and I don't want to seem rude by not replying, so:

Yeah, it was a bit over the top. I had a number 1, then used the clippers without any guide at all (a zero) before i shaved it...

Give it a touch-up every three days for a fortnight or so, and see what the family and you thinks by then.
I was just trying it out some 15-18 years ago, and haven't grown it back yet. Not that I could either, probably
Yes, it's rather white, but this afternoon spent in the sun should help. I like the feel of it now; I think every few days is good advice...

Well done Carl. For what its worth I think it looks great

Yeah, I didn't really give anyone time to encourage me, did I? Thanks, my older son says it look better, so that three for and two against with jdto's comment...

I agree with Grant. It looks badass, Carl. For your family, give it some time; it's probably quite a shock for them.
Ta, I agree, I think I look very, very dangerous. My first featured SOTD was quite exciting, too...
