Wednesday morning
An early start while the house is still quiet..Nice!
As for rotation of razors these days, I seem to just select a Alembicase and shave thru it before moving on to the next
So, today, this Kikuboshi Orion was up.
I'm always amused by all the superlatives the Japanese makers put on their blades.
This one says Best Extra Hollow Ground on the blade along with Super Deluxe, and on the tang it states that it is made of Super extra steel.
So naturally, this shave couldn't be anything but the very best of shaves.
Paired with this superlative shaver today was a Shavemac D01 and some Fitjar East Indies Shaving soap.
I'll add some EdT later, I'm off running in a bit, and will be making my selection after the following shower

Very good shave. The Vie-Long two bands brush is fantastic for foaming shaving creams.
Cheers. Saludos

Thanked: 485Thank you very much, the x-rays showed he is healing quite well, actually.
I think I may keep the head shaved. I haven't re-shaved it; I'm waiting for a little nick to heal. Also, I like the 'three day growth' look on my head, so I'm thinking Saturdays may continue as DE days but with an added emphasis (i.e. include the head). I sort of fear being 'run of the mill', and don't want to just be one of those other guys with a shaved head. That's one reason I maintain a beard type thingy that's a moustache, 'soul patch' and van dyke that is all separated. It seems to me that that configuration is less common than an all joined in goatee. So, basically,I'm still a bit doubtful about the shaved head thing as I'm a bit of a hipster...
Thank you, I'll take that as a warm and sunny autumn, which it is in this neck of the woods...
Little, tiny fellow! Is that a Mario he's got? (as in Mario cart?). I love seeing kids who have been through what he has with hair; I saw an older lad (16 or so) in the ward the other day and noticed he'd sprouted a head of hair. You feel like congratulating them on it! Bailey actually had his hair jelled today! God's blessings on you all...
Dogs are such beautiful people, generally...
Love that razor, the patina and/or wear is really nice...
Well done on the BBS, it does take a little while to get there. I find that at times, you do take a step backwards, though. What I mean is, when you reach BBS it's not like every shave thereafter is BBS...
Seems to me the Lavanda is pretty popular these days. It's close top being my favourite at the moment...
