    Prep: Hot shower
    Brush: Shavemac, D01 hair
    Razor: Revisor
    Soap: Nannys French Lavender
    AS: Old Spice, Fresh Lime
    Strops: Neil Miller

I messed up the lather and got a to thin lather, it worked, but not very nice, so I only did two quick passes and got a better shave than the vast majority of all men on earth

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Brush: Simpson Chubby 1
    Razor: C.V. Heljestrand MK32
Strop: 40/60 Neil Miller Linen/Kanayama Cordovan
    Soap: Institut Karite
    After shave: TOBS Mr.Taylors
Results: First try with the Institut Karite, could have been better, could have been worse. I think the problem was that I didn't get to load the brush enough cause I had to chase the puck around the bowl. Still it wasn't too bad, just a little thin and I got a nice and quite comfortable shave.

Nice two pass shave tonight. This razor was honed by Lynn about 2 years ago. Other than a few passes on a 12K and CroX the edge has been just wonderful, as it was tonight.

    Enjoy the evening.

Prep: Hot shower / Hot towel soak / Rise baby face gel rub
Brush: 24mm Silvertip in American Ash
Soap: Godrej all by itself, and it did wonderfully over the gel
    Strops: 50 Hard Felt / 100 Leather / 100 horsehide each
Razors: Today was a comparison between new German Steel in the 5/8 Boker 'King Cutter' and my 5/8 Shapleigh 'The Shapleigh Barbers' each is a hollow ground
    AS: OBR Limes & Peppercorns
    EdT: OBR Original Cologne
Results: I found the Boker to have a slightly 'keener' edge and removed more stubble in a single pass, but the Shapleigh was silkier to the skin. Each left the face feeling very clean in 1 pass, the second pass equaled everything up so that both sides of the face were DFS in 2 passes. Excellent shave for a Monday (I hate Monday's)!! Please note the tiny raindrops on the scales, it's a nice cool day today with a little rain falling! After yesterdays high of 82, todays cool 45 feels wonderful!!

5/8 King Razor Expert Barber Square Point
    Badger Brush
    Trumper's Coconut SS
    Thayer's
    Sknin Bracer AS
    Nivea ASB

I picked up this King razor (Indiana PA) on ebay for a decent price, and it arrived a few weeks ago just needing a polish with some Maas and a trip to the Norton 4k/8k. I honed it two weeks ago, and in retrospect I realize that I didnt pay much attention (any???) to the bevel setting (enjoying a glass of rye whsiky while honing might have had something to do with that) and it was such as rough shave.... damn near killed me!

I put it aside until Sunday and I took it back to the hone and worked it slowly and acrefully, and used a loupe to check the edge as I went. Much better edge this time and a very nice, smooth comfy shave this morning. The Trumpers SS is pretty nice too - I had forgot about this one, and have had two great shaves with it this weekend.
