    Default Classic Shave Tuesday...

4/8 Union Cutlery 'Gold Aro' / Tabac / Silvertip in Honey Locust / Skin Bracer / Brut

Today's shave was an all classic shave. I just finished restoring and honing this little beauty from Sharptonn this morning, and this was her maiden shave. Like all Union Cutlery razors, it took a quick bevel, sharpened with ease and shaves like a dream. Smooth as glass in 2 passes. I decided it was an old time shave for me to celebrate the restoration of this little old razor. Skin Bracer is one of my fav's and reminds me a lot of Osage Rub in scent and feel. Good old Brut is hard to beat to go with it. My Honey Locust brush handle was made out of a really old fence post from an open range fence that must be over 50 years old. Truly a classic shave today!

    Have a wonderful Evening Brothers!

    Today's Shave

    Hot Shower, Stephan's, Warm oil
    Dirty Bird Scuttle
    Razorock Caprician Lemon Shave Cream
    Custom Badger by Tim (Tumtatty)
Maxtom, 7/8, 1/4 hollow,Barber's Notch. Black Linen Micarta scales and tapered with a pink G10 wedge.
    SRD P1, 50 Linen, 50 leather
    Razorock Aluminum
    Thayer's Lemon witch hazel
    Vaseline for men.

Nice shave today except that the lather was watery. I added too much water which caused the problem. The lather flipped off the brush all over the place making a huge mess. No matter, the razor performed flawlessly and provided a great shave.
