Now that the SOTD pic shows, I'm confused. How did you cut the back of your thumb with a razor that is closed???

    Prep: Hot shower
    Brush: Simpson Polo 8
    Razor J A Hellberg no 14, 1/4 hollow
    Soap: Provence Santé
    AS: Mennen S B
    Strops: Neil Miller
    Result: Very, very clean

I was going to test shave my walkabout razor, besides it was a major PITA to hone it also had a no good edge (slightly warped blade I think). So I took the other test razor and boy what a difference! It was close to an uberclean shave and this blade shaved like a good Sheffield, smooth all the way

    Paul,
I love TF vetiver. I have Vintage Guerlain and while it being an amazing fragrance I find myself using TF more. It has a clean and smoky Vetiver scent, but a little subdued by a very pleasant citrus background, which means I can wear it during spring and summer and it fits nicely.

I hope I can help you with this

    The factory steel products (STIZ)
СТИЗ (STIZ) – СТальных (STeel) ИЗделий (products)

    Location: Moscow, underground station “Electrozavodskaya”

Trademarks: STIZ, UNION, Dawn, Mars, Capital, East, Spartacus (Spartac)

Enterprise was created in the postwar years with the technology base copied from the German workplace, with working staff who had been taken away from the Nizhny Novgorod province.
Product included: knifes, multi-tools (split folding spoon-fork set-knife), and straight razors from the 1950s to the 1990s. Collapsed at about the mid-1990s, now on its place stands shopping mall.

Your razor was manufactured in 1955 (USSR razor always stamped with a year of production). And I heard that after 1955 quality of steel which was used in USSR razors very reduced so you are lucky
