Thanked: 1Having ventured back into straight shaving my SOTDs are a bit more interesting now! Sadly no photos until I resolve internet issues at my temporary accomodation.....
Pre - hot shower with hair conditioner on face
Brush - Semogue 830
Cream - Dr Harris Marlborough (sample)
Razor - 6/8 NOS Towa
ASB - The Village Barber
AS - Fonex Malibu
This is my closest straight shave to date. The Towa is a Japanese full hollow ground and was a NOS that I found on ebay. It is easily the sharpest straight that I have hence the result. The Dr Harris was a sample I was given by a member on The Shaving Room, a UK forum. It lathers very well but has a very subtle scent, I may invest. The ASB has a very earthy scent to it like moss and I find I need balm when I straight shave as opposed to DE shaving. Fonex is my regular AS.

Mystic Water Lily of the Valley
Thayers, Floid Blue and Proraso Cream
Smooth and comfortable from the first stroke to the last. Lacked noting to be desired. 3 Pass WTG, WTG and ATG. No Pull no tug just divine. I checked whisker removal to see the lather almost black from the quantity of whiskers.
It is really rewarding to get smooth passes with 3-4 days growth. This was truly a fine shave!

I used the henckles last shave. This time i ran it across a coti. Too soon to tell. I need to do more testing on the coti. The Elliot was only honed up to 8k. So i wanted to test it. I have a new found appreciation for wedges. They use to give me little irritation. The past few i honed gave me a fantastic shave. This one did the same. 8k and it was buttery smooth.
