lol, it's far away from Germany, but I'd like to do so...
We were 3 times in the Lake-Tahoe-Area. It isn't the best idea using a rental-car for the Rubicon Trail.
    I'll send you a PM!!!

Here's one of my favorite combinations:

Sedef Shavette with a plain Wilkinson blade
    Arko shaving cream
    8EUR Noname Brush
    Croatian Ralon (YES!)

    (not to mention: 1st post)

    SOTD Saturday

    Hot shower prep
    Razor: Wilkinson Royal
Blades: Wilkinson proprietary hollow ground ~10mm x 30mm
    Soap: Cella
    Brush: generic badger
Splash: inexpensive aftershave in old bottle

A very clean and comfortable shave today. I still don't really like Cella though?!?!?

The Wilkinson, while a very quality product, suffered from the blade holders retaining moisture after the shave. That moisture corroded the small hollow ground steel blades. Of this seven day set, there were no un-corroded blades and I honed one of the best and placed the rest into quarantine after cleaning and oiling them.
It and the Valet and other "autostrop" razors were about the end of that hollow ground replaceable blade type and the quality of thin blades made the extra cost of the fancy razors a non-player.

The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!

    -SOTD-

    Najeeb Razor
    Semogue 830 Brush
    MWF Soap
    Caswell Massey Sandalwood Pre-shave Oil
    Pinuad Clubman Aftershave Lotion

Not bad. Best shave I have had from this razor so far. The handles were DIY in Bocote. I think I posted elsewhere they were of Cocobolo but I was mistaken. They are Bocote.

Great photos. Nice to have such great subjects to choose from. My only question is who is that guy Bill Ruhling that seems to get into each photo?

That is a nice blade etching.

Also I think my Mappin Brothers is ready to go for my next shave. It was popping hairs from my wrist like nothing.

Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?

This week busy. Needed a really nice shave today.

Very long, Warm Shower, Stephan's rubbed well into the whiskers.
    Warm Oil
    Dirty Bird Scuttle
    Nancy Boy Signature Shave cream.
    Badger Brush
    Carl Monkhouse, 5/8, Full Hollow
Refreshed on 12K,.25 Diamond,.5 Crox, Stropped 100 laps on SRDP1
    Razorock Aluminum
    Pinaud Clubman
    Vaseline for men

This was a very well received shave for me. I shaved with a DE mostly this week due to other commitments. I refreshed the Monkhouse which resulted in a very close, smooth shave.
