Bum Shave
Breath visible in cold, not even 7 a.m.
Prep: 5 minutes with cream
Brush: really crappy old antique-store boar brush
Cream: Anthony Logistics for Men shave cream (smells minty)
DE: Weishi
Razor Blade: generic (Walmart, Walgreens or Kmart, can't remember)
Post: Stephan's Alpine Menthol
Biked out to a park where no one would bother me. Filled tiny rice bowl with water fountain water, soaked permanently squashed and bent ratty, crappy old boar brush in bowl. I used my travel container with the last of the Anthony shave cream, a round, shallow old lip-balm tin with the crappy red coating on the rim leaking into the shaving cream. Ugh, just what I need. Prep was the minimum 5 minutes, washing off cream first time to remove skin oils. Shave went fine, I really appreciate the travel case the Weishi came in because of the crappy little mirror inside. Couldn't use two hands because of holding the mirror though, which was crappy. Still got a good shave though, just not as close as with a str8 and two hands. Rinsed off at the water fountain, which was low-pressure lameness (and crappy). Stephan's Alpine Menthol was delightful, accentuated by the morning's crappy cold.
Shave quality was OK but in comparison to the usual quite crappy. Bleh. Thanks for reading.

Alarm didn't go off for some reason this morning, so had to rush the shave. Sorry had no time for a pic. Result was an unsurprising below-par shave.

Thanked: 485It gets like that after a while...Soon you'll be making lists deciding on which razor for which day, paired with which After Shave and which soap, etc. You'll consider that you'll need a relaxed weekendy type scent for Saturday morning; with maybe a DE, but a touch up with a very smooth straight and more complex cologne before you hit the club/bar/cinema/pool room/strip club/choir practice/law course/Bible study group or AA meeting...I suggest a large white board with photos of all the equipment stuck on with BluTac. Use pieces of coloured wool or thin strips of paper to match the razors to the scents to the after shaves, etc...
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?
