Thanked: 485Wednesday
Great shave with the Jernbolaget this morning. This razor is no beauty, but it’s a nice shape and has incredible steel. Have you ever wondered at really old razors and thought about how much they would have used just the first third on the razor’s edge from the toe end? I like a nice useful heel. This razor has a nice useful heel. It’s also nice to strop; you can strop this without even looking at the strop. O Melhor was the cream. O Melhor is one of my officially ‘banished’ creams due to its Not In My Opinion Natural Ingredients, but that’s probably more about my illogical thought processes than any actual negative health effect thing. I use it maybe each month or so, maybe less. It’s a great performer, though. Maybe the company should go the Proraso or Musgo Real way and make a more natural alternative? I can only hope. Sometimes I think some companies miss out on that market. Aftershave wise it was alcohol overload, both in an actual content and a pseudo ‘drinky-poos’ manner. All that rum and whisky, it was like a card night with the boys (not that I’ve actually ever attended a card night; believe it or not)
Razor: Jernbolaget | Cream: O Melhor | After Shave: Dominica Bay Rum | Hair Tonic: Pashana Bay Rum | Eau de Toilette: Evaflor Whisky

Just a quick touch up today as I was so smooth after yesterday's shave that I didn't need much. I hadn't touched the Panna Crema lately, so it got the honors. The Chubby effortlessly whipped it up into a whipped cream like lather and the Wostenholm frameback did exactly what it was built for. A simple, and efficient shave. I followed up with the Lucido and Le Labo Rose 31, and now I'm ready to face the office!

another razor i honed the other night. Heavier grind than i expected. I think the edge got too sharp. Some irritation on second pass. I will have to decide which stone to use to fix that. Beautiful razor. I ubered up Dr Harris Lavender and TOBS. What an explosive combination. Thick creamy lather.

Pre shave: hot shower
Brush: van Der Hagen
Soap: mama bears Dragons Blood
Razor: A.J. Jordan Sheffield Celebrated Hollow Ground 1/4 hollow
Splash: Nivea for men Energy
Balm: Nivea for men Revitalizing
I've shaved with a Sheffield wedge before and didn't really care for it. I got a good deal on this one so I thought I would hone her up and give her a try. Absolutely fantastic! I loved every second of the shave. Definitely a keeper for a change of pace from my hollows.
Also, I highly recommend the new energy splash from Nivea for men. Follow it up with the revitalizing balm and you can't go wrong!
