    TUESDAY
    Hot shower prep
Razor: NOS 11/16ths Germania “Uncle Sam” (Germany)
    Soap: Lavanda (Portugal)
    Mug: Soup cup
    Brush: Barbershop boar ( Austria)
    Aftershock: none needed
    Splash: TARR ( Romania)
The razor was as hard to hone as my HESS 44 stainless or the Solingen Stainless. It took about 4 hours to get it close to right. Back to 800 and then up again gently to keep from micro-chipping. I have heard it said that American razors are hard...Cheeze! The Lavanda whipped to a glorious lather and the shave was very smooth. The TARR is always a great wake-up experience!

The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!

It's been a long while since I have posted to the SOTD thread. Life has been very busy between the family and the job. Anyway... without further delay, here is today's SOTD for me:

RAZOR: Feather All Stainless Double Edge Razor
    BRUSH: Merkur Futur Silvertip Badger
SOAP/CREAM: Acqua Di Parma Colonia Collezione Barbiere Shaving Cream
AFTER SHAVE: Acqua Di Parma Colonia Collezione Barbiere After Shave Lotion
COLOGNE: Acqua Di Parma Colonia Eau De Cologne

I have been using this Feather Stainless for 6 months now and have to say it has earned a permanent home. ...and that is saying a lot because the only other permanent DE I have is my Merkur Futur. I have tried a lot of different current and vintage DE's over the years, but until now I always ended up going back to my Futur and selling the others. Perhaps I will eventually give the Futur or Feather to my son when the day comes (he's 2-1/2, so I have some time to think about it).

    Cheers,

    Chris

    Prep: Hot shower
    Brush: Rudy Vey
Razor: W Söderen (Swedish Eskilstuna razor)
    Cream: Fitjar Neroli
    AS: Old Spice Fresh Lime
    Strops: Neil Miller
    Result: Very, very clean

Messed up the lather, but had a nice enough shave anyway and was more than clean enough (for whatever you need to be ready for)
