Shave prep: Evening shave, so just a splash of hot water
Brush: D.R. Harris
Preshave: Proraso Pre
Soap: Martin de Candre
Scuttle: Simple soup bowl
Razor: Dubl Duck Satinedge 6/8
Strop: Kanayama 20 canvas strokes and 80+ strokes on the leather
After Shave Splash: Nivea aftershave Balm
Notes:
Taking some time to zone out,
running the hot water tap for just a second longer,
getting the face towel just a bit steamier,
swirling the badger a few more rounds in the soap bowl,
lathering up only a bit extra, I have enough in my brush.
First stroke…nice.
Four passes later…last stroke…yes.
Hot towel, cold towel, aftershave balm.
Total bliss...
Paul

Very nice shave, got that sticky smooth, very tight skinned feeling that Cella seems to do so well. No doubt the best part of the day but tomorrow is turkey day!The older I get, the better I was

A little of background for the brush can be found here. At my parents for the holiday. I had ordered a travel brush and had it sent here. Its not here yet but I found this instead. Either way brings back memories. It shed a bit and it is starting to break in. It sure whipped that bar soap into lather like no one's business. I had to lather twice as the lather was half gone by the time I got to the right side of my face. Nuetral scent to the hotel soap but nice glide to it. The shavette gave a nice shave but I need to rethink how to attack the neck with it. A little red around the gills. No nicks though. Just a pressure problem I think. Other than that BBS.Last edited by Pyrateknight; 11-21-2012 at 03:34 PM.
Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?
