All the Hardware was so great yesterday, I did it again albeit with Mikes Orange Cedarwood Black Pepper. I haven't used this soap in awhile, not sure why because it really performs. More of a summer fragrance for me though. 3 passes and I am smooth as a schoolgirl.

    Wednesday 30th January

    Hot Shower and Facial Scrub
Shavex Brushless cream as a pre shave
    Ford & Medley 333 5/8 Razor
    HJM Black Fibre Brush
    Klar Kabinett Soap
    Witch Hazel
    Argan Oil
    Denim Unleash AS
    Morgans Classic Pomade
    Brian's Own (Moustache Wax)

Back to normal today. I had a bit of a Family emergency and had to go to Leamington Spa on Monday. Imagine my disgust when I discovered that I had forgotton to pack my shaving kit. Consequently I ended up shaving with the above mentioned brushless cream and a single edged Bic. Not good.
The Shavex as it turns out is an acceptable pre shave cream. Todays shave was very close and comfortable with 3 passes.

    Prep - None
    Strop - 3 inch bridle leather/hard felt
Razor - Vintage Schulze stainless 6/8
Brush - Simpsons QE II Jubilee Manchurian badger
    Soap - Williams stick
Post - Alum block followed with Thayers witch hazel

Very close and clean cold water face lathered shave. The much maligned Williams soap did not hinder getting an excellent shave one bit. One application of the stick provided more than enough good lather for 3 passes and a touch up with lots left in the brush to be rinsed off. I think I will give up trying to find a truly awful soap/cream that just will not perform after having tried 14 different one to date. Enjoy your hump day relief with the weekend is in sight.

I love me some limes! Especially when its warm. I own the cologne but not the aftershave.
But, no shave for me today.
