Today's shave features my prized Le Grelot 1/4 hollow and my new Simpsons Chubby 2 Best Badger brush. What an exceptional brush!

    Last nights shave:

I was not feeling myself yesterday or very happy. I ended my day early with a hot shower and shave. I still really like to shave while in the shower. Last nights shave was well received after which I went to bed. I don't recall seeing 7Pm, guess I was just plain tuckered out.
Woke today to feel much better.

    How shower
    MWF Soap/Badger Brush
    1959 Gillette Fatboy, Derby blade
    Stephan's Island Lime AS
    Vaseline for men

Nice, close shave. The MWF really lathers up well in the shower.

    Enjoy the day!!

Changed my grip and got better results. I have been holding it near the top between my thumb and index. Today I tried it at the bottom with a pen grip. Worked so much better. On the second pass I decided to kick it up to nine. Low and behold it was already on nine. I smiled and continued shaving.

    Wed, Feb 6

Pre: Hot Shower, 15 Linen, 20 Leather
    Razor: Jos. Rodgers 13/16" w/Ivory
Brush: TI Super Badger w/ Black Horn
    Scuttle: Dirty Bird Brush Scuttle
    Soap/Cream: TOBS Lavender
    Post: Cold water and Alum
    Aftershave: Proraso White

Well I think I started to notice something. My single pass seems to be getting better. Smoother Shaves with little to no irritation anymore including the neck. They are starting to feel like my old double passes that I tried awhile ago. I wonder what my double pass will feel like now? Got my new bottle of Proraso in and a puck of TOBS Sandalwood. Can't wait to try the soap out but I will have to wait till my Lavender or Williams is done so I have a mug to put it in.

    Happy Shaving.
Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?
