Another no shave day for me...

    Prep - None
    Strop - 3 inch bridle leather/hard felt
Razor - Clauss full hollow 13/16
Brush - SOC 2 band badger
    Soap - DR Harris "Arlington"
Post - Alum block followed with Thayers witch hazel

Cold water face lathered shave. The Clauss, picked up yesterday locally, cleaned up well and took a good edge delivering a fine smooth and close shave. It's a quiet full hollow, not noisy like DDs are. Very pleased with it. The other thing that struck me from this mornings shave was just how good a brush the SOC 2 band badger really is, especially considering the price point. Have a fine day.

Prep: Hot Shower/ Proraso pre-post creme
    Scuttle: Georgetown Pottery G5
Brush: 26mm Silvertip Mountain Badger in Juniper handle
    Soap: Pannacrema 'Casablanca'
Razor: Economy Supply 44/20, 11/16" Square point
Post: Hot water rinse/Cold water splash
    Finish: Proraso AS/ Iggy's Balm
Result: Another fantastic 3 pass shave. Broke out a new bottle of Proraso AS, not sure if they changed the formula on this, but it seems to have a little more menthol 'kick'. Have to get some more Pannacrema, this is some good stuff.

Sorry about the poor quality iPhone photo -- was in a hurry to get out of the house this morning. It's hard to beat the lather and scent of Speick, it's quickly becoming one of my favorites and is already one of my "go to soaps." The razor was a Christmas gift from the wife. I just love this big, old Sheffield razor. It's the only vintage razor I have that hasn't been restored, and I think I'm going to keep it that way. It's really a beauty and I would hate to loose the "old school" charm it has. Great two pass shave -- practically BBS. Have a great day!

Recently captured this wild cat and domesticated it. Honed up this Puma Special 6/8 222 last night and the shave this morning was sublime!

Good morning y'all! Because I'm in a current infatuation phase with Sheffield razors, my judgment has become questionable with respect to buying more Sheffield razors. Proving this point was a Frederick Reynolds POS, complete with larvae ridden horn scales that I insisted on buying thinking I could restore her. Well, once I received it, it became obvious that I would not be capable of changing the status of this razor from POS to beauty queen. I needed a pro to do it, and I had the perfect pro in mind. Max.

Max turned my POS into a sweet razor, and once I received her yesterday, this morning's shave could not get here quickly enough!! She started out as a 7/8 with pits, nicks, devil's spit, and chewed up scales. Because of the amount of work needed to get the edge, she's now a trimmed down 13/16.

    Thank you Max!

    Prep - hot shower
    Soap - Acqua di Parma
Brush - Simpson Polo 8, super
Razor - Frederick Reynolds, Maxed up
Post - col water, styptic pencil, Kiehl's lotion
    EDT - Creed, Millesime Imperial
