Prep: 25 mile bike ride, hot shower
Razor: 6/8 Wade & Butcher, The University, with orginal ivory scales
Brush: AOS Fine Badger
Soap: C&E Sienna
A/S: Alum Block, Thayers Rose, C&E Sienna Aftershave Balm
Result: I enjoyed shaving with this razor so much yesterday, I used it again today. I was not looking for a really close shave because I plan on shaving super early tomorrow morning then head out of town for work. But this blade is so stink'n sharp and smooth, I went ATG, including on my upper lip, and got BBS with little effort. So glad I picked up and fixed up this razor.
The Crabtree & Evelyn Sienna shaving soap is underrated. It explodes in lather that is rich, thick, and provides plent of cushion and glide. And it smells so nice! $22 for the soap and wood bowl is a good deal, and it seems like it's going to last forever.
Have a great Wednesday!

Hot water prep
Wade & Butcher FBU spike point razor - generic silvertip badger brush - L'Occitane CADE sc - Thuringer hone (YES!) - cold water splash - Thayer's Rose petal WH re-splash - T&H 1805 asb - hot towel - shower - Pitralon Original NOS 60's as
Yes! My Thuri arrived today from the Bay and I directly gave it a go with 4 of my razors. It's a mighty stone measuring 20x5x3 cm, making it larger than my Coticule. I had not ever honed on one of these before. The feeling is magnificent. Very smooth and fine. The W&B is almost back to it's initial sharpness. I have a lot to learn from this stone. Glad I bought it. Thanks for the eye-candy this week already gents. This place keeps getting better.
