Monday evening - The candlelight shave
    Hot water prep
Ali's Blade T-Rex "Hors Serie" razor - AK 1869 sc - silvertip badger brush - cold water splash - Thayer's witch hazel green re-splash - AK 1869 asb - hot patchouli-verveine bath by candlelight - AK 1869 AdC - Tunes: Miles Davis; Kind of Blue

This was one fine relaxing shave. I figured that men must have shaved at some point by candlelight when there was no electricity yet. So, I put candles all over the bathroom and had a go at it with Miles in the background. The T-Rex is an amazing blade. It's heavy, but very well balanced, which makes it a real pleasure to use. It has a wickedly sharp edge. It's brisk for sure and that fits its character nicely. It also taught me to stay focussed, as the spike point gave me a nice 3/4" vertical nic on the right cheek. I guess that's what you get when you mess with sharp teethed dinosaurs in half-darkness...

The postman dropped off this razor today so this is it's first run tonight..all I can say is WOW..very maneuverable for such a large blade and sharp. I wanted to do a 3 pass shave but only needed 2. Pics definately don't do this razor any justice. First time trying Penhaligons as well and it's definately my new favorite cream. Have a great week gents!
