Wonderful shave! These Dorco Stainless steel blades would definitely make my list of affordable gear that works like a champ. Two bucks and change for a ten pack of really good blades.

    Prep - None
    Strop - 3 Inch bridle leather/hard felt
    Razor - Filarmonica 12
    Brush - Semogue 1350 Boar
Soap - Tabac puck/cold water face lathered
Post - Alum block followed with Thayers witch hazel

This is my first Filly and first real shave with it after cleaning it up a bit and a quick touch up on a Zulu Grey. Absolutely no complaints on the smooth close and comfortable BBS shave it gave. I still felt underwhelmed. The shave was right up there with what my DD No. 1 Specials can give. That is the rub coupled with what I consider the cheesy quality of the Filly's scales for the price they command. Still it does deliver in spades on it's primary function as a razor and is a keeper. Have a good TGIF.
