Another fan of the Muhle R41. Mine is Grande. I'm still trying to get my straight shaves as close and easy as the R41, and after having used a straight I can't imagine using any other safety razor.

I spent most of my life shaving with all the Schick Injector styles from the "D" onward They did for my father and then for me.
They still give me a good shave if they come to my notice of a mornings' glance.

Been using a Gillettee OC, New Model short comb I believe, a bit more lately. I am starting to think that it will give the Muhle R41 (2013 version) a run for the money in closeness and longevity of shave. It might even be a tie. Might have 2 favourites now in DEs.

My all time favourite Safety Razor is the Giesen & Forsthoff Timor Open Comb Razor, with 80mm Stainless Steel Handle.
After about 100 other Safetys the Timor gave me the best Performance in shaving Quick & Close without much irritations,
its not the most abventurous Razor of my Collection (that would be a rare Apollo Bakelite Slant with huge Blade gap) but
the best for an easy everyday use :-)Geezer likes this.

Muhle R41 (2011) with a Weber Classic handle. Never used a DE which has even come close to this rock star.

The slim's eh....I like the fat Boy adjustable...but speaking of slims...just picked this up from Valery at the Gentleman's Den. I like my old Aristocrat TTO, but always wanted one that was adjustable, so I guess this is a slim then: Originally Posted by cubancigar2000
