Default What is your all time favorite Safety Razor?

With all you folks that have shaved with uncounted different tools, each of you must have a remembered or current favorite Safety Razor. What is your all time favorite?
That is the reason for bringing this thread to the forum.

For a complete DE shave, a Merkur Vision.
For touch up with water after a SR shave, a slant.
For shaving over sensitive skin, a 1949 Super Speed.

Tom, I have one also and I find it is an excellent shaver indeed.

I just received a Rolls razor in a batch of SR's, haven't cleaned it or done anything to it but try to figure out how the darn thing works. I think I have it figured out tho.

The venerable Merkur Slant 137C, or it's younger big brother, the 139C A.K.A. Slanthammer.

When I use a DE, the Merkur Slant, "The Sledgehammer" was fun.

Also enjoy the Gillette adjustable's a couple of buddies gave me, but for some reason, I get the best shave and enjoy using my Gillette Aristocrat the most.

Try here Rolls Safety Razor Page and scroll to the bottom for the instructions.

I am not a big safety razor fan. However I did receive one as a gift from a friend. It is a simple Gem single edge. Mostly I like it because when I use it it makes me think of friendship and the kindness of strangers. I do have several others that don't do much for me except provide a passable shave.

I would have to say my Futura, with Astra blades. By far the cleanest closest shaves ever are with this razor and blade combo. I have a Super Speed, that does a good job too.
