I have a Dove shavette that I bought all the different plastic inserts to so that I have one for each blade type just in case.
Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?

Feather AC SS non-folding. I've been shaving with DEs for two years but have taken the plunge since Christmas. I can quite easily see a DX in my future. For now I'm shying away from the upkeep of genuine straights.

I got a 'toe in the water' Dovo Shavette
I'm pleased with is for a cheap and cheerful tester. It's handy to learn the technique without also having a bad hone/strop etc work against you. I found the short blades a bit easier to handle than the long Dovo blades, it's nice to be able to swap and try them both.
A few times I have been thankful for the plastic guard on the trailing corner of the razor - helps if your learning and filleting your face isn't on your bucket list.
I was wondering how you get on travelling with razors? You guys don't get them taken off you at airports?
Also I can't seem to find a seller of Feather Shavettes in Australia (everyone sells the blades), if anyone knows one please let me know.

I recently bought a sanguine r5 shavette. I can't see a reason to use it with the CJB available. It did come though with nice wooden scales, a pack of Wilkinson blades and nice leather case. My CJB is the folding one but the kamisori also come predrilled with a 5mm hole. Some nail polish remover got the sanguine logo off the case in no time.
I do need to get some CA finish for the wood scales. But for less than $15 shipped i'm happy with that upgrade.
