I honestly forget if it was ever uncomfortable to use both hands...

Dominant hand only. Right and left sides equally well shaved. I do use some "creative" holds on the razor though. Works for me.

I am somewhat ambidextrous. Having been in construction all my life I learned to hammer nails with both hands, saw, shovel, weld. Sometimes you just can't get in a position to do things with one hand or you feel more safe holding on for dear life with your dominate hand as you screw something together while hanging over a bridge or something. Using both hands to shave was a piece of cake. You can train yourself to do a lot of things that just feel weird. Mind over motor skills.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

I'm practicing with my non dominate hand with my cartridge razor until I get my first SR (hurry up Christmas!!) and have become much more comfortable with it.

I'm doing the same thing, though I don't expect a razor for Christmas. I'm pleased that although it hasn't become second nature yet, I'm much more comfortable with my off side hand already. I hope the practice transfers!

yeah, sorta. I recommend starting to learn ambidextrousness with a less-lethal weapon. (now that i'm over-the-hump and didn't think about it back then). TRY to learn it anyway. Sure I can do some things cross-pawed, but not many delicate things.

I never got it. I tried, but i was way too impatient/left-brained/non-cross-pawed to stick to it.

    One hand shaves my face.

And the same hand strops and hones my blades. I'm funny like that.

I like using both hands, but to each their own, do what feels most comfortable to you.
