I did (as my Dad would say) "that same fool thing" a year or so ago... probably 2. Drying a razor with TP and sliced it damn near in half. Cut the thumbnail and everything. I probably should have had it stitched up but if I got stitches every time I should I'd turn into 2.0 silk. My kids used to play count the scars on Daddy's head. At least razor cut don't normally leave a bad scar.

That one is going to stick with you for a while. Hate that one for ya Steve.

    Does the superglue hurt much?

I suppose it shouldn't be too bad, after all it was first used as a surgical glue.

If i had dropped a pickup truck on my finger like you did I'm sure I would have screamed a lot louder than you.

Well, it is sort of a hobby of mine.

Electrical tape and take out napkins = workman's bandage

I'll be honest, I've never tried it because I always superglue myself to my work and acetone does hurt in open wounds. I've always just used butterfly bandages.

But, I did hear a doctor asked about it once and pointed out that a surgical glue is used in a sterile environment and sterilized wound. So, it maybe something to consider or to not mention to the wife.

Shrug, I've always been more of the making tape and paper towels and hope the bleeding stops before the job's done.

Actually I've figured out the best course of action.

Super glue is great stuff. I've even used it on finger nails that split and tore into my skin.

Cut um off close, glue the split so it won't get caught on things, like pants pockets.
