Thread: What Do You Have In The Mail Right Now?

For some reason I felt the need to see what all the fuss is about..... So I ordered 2 Gold dollars..... at least I think they're gold dollars. Amazon says they're Gold dollars. The pic on Amazon.ca shows a gold dollar 66 and they were 4.99 each with free shipping.

Time to have some fun and see if I can makem shave!!

I've handled several including some that I picked up for the same reason as you did and I found about a 50/50 'good razor' ratio. The last one I honed for a guy was shoulderless and it honed up so nice and easy. I asked the member where he'd got it and even when he gave me the number and I went looking every picture had shoulders.

Anyway just wondering

My straight razor friend down the street is on the B&B forum & he has ground the shoulders off for a couple of guys there. They look really nice when he does this!

I paid less than that when I ordered (I'm thinking about $2.50 ea) and they were sent directly from the C. H. INA Company with Free Shipping. I figured that they would be sent via one guy in a row boat and I'd die of old age before I got them but they landed in about 10 days.

It's amazing they can sell them for so cheap. how are they even making any profit from them???

I'm guessing volume,,,,and a great way to dispose of all their old toxic plastic from the 60s.

I got a Gold Dollar 208 on Amazon. It had the shoulders ground down. I got a feeling they did all of them that way.

#208 is what was sent to me, but every place that I'd searched for a Gold Dollar 208 I found showed a razor with the shoulders.
