Yes, it lathers easier than anything else I've tried. And the scent...omg the scent...I LOVE IT!!!
It's the first shave soap that I have tried that works well enough for me to be able to shave against-the-grain without getting razor burn!
    I absolutely LOVE this soap!!!
I ordered more just because I don't want to run out if they stop making it...the wife is gonna kill me.
This weekend is gonna be full of ...but it's worth it.

Let me know how you like that lathe. Ill be upgrading soon, and im looking at the jet 1221VS currently. If the Rikon works just as well, ill save the money and buy some new gouges.

Great little lathe. I have the same lathe in storage too far away to make use of right now. All the brush turning pushed my over the edge hahaa. I used mine for two or so years and never had any issues , good solid machine. I would upgrade the live center on the tail stock and add a set of collets and she's good to go.

I was also looking at the Jet, but reading all the reviews the variable speed seems like the trouble spot on the jet along with really bad customer service if there is an issue, so I just went with the Rikon again. VS would be sweet, but it is like a 2 second swap to change the speeds, and really I never was feeling like I settled going without VS. Buuuuut I have not used a variable speed lathe, so maybe I don't know what Im missing there.

Just picked up plywood and am making this , or my version of this stand. It won't have any oak or edge banding , but it'll be close.

Yesterday I received DR Harris soap, shampoo, shaving soap, aftershave, aftershave milk, and cologne. Looks like it's going to be a good week.

Hmm, all the reviews I read said that jet has the best customer service, which was the only reason I was leaning towards them. There were some issues with the variable speed when it was launched, but all that should be cleared up by now. Based on what I've read, online, so could be a bunch of BS.

That stand is awesome. You should make two. I'll take the first one, then by the time you make yours it'll be perfect because you learned from your mistakes lol
