Nice looking blade, I'm not sure what the deal is with the blade guard tho. Celticcruisader would be the guy to ask, he knows about these japanese straights.

I took a stab at this Puma on ebay for cheap and won. The pics they posted on ebay are a bit blurry, but I think it looks pretty decent. Anyone seen this model before?

The only thing I can think of it may have something to do with a guard attachment used by Barbers for thinning hair can't see any other use?

1 Does it come off?
2 Is it interchangeable?
3 What kind of moisture and spine wear are hidden?
4 Everything back in the day had a purpose, what was the purpose? To save spine wear over a lifetime of honing?

Time to come clean. Snow White is coming to my hone. The highly sought after Model IF-0001 8K Naniwa
I have the Chosera 1K & 5K and then would jump to naturals. Now I will get to experience an 8K synthetic before the finishers.Your only as good as your last hone job.
