It’s awesome. I dropped in the Feather I have used 2 or 3 times already, and it was great. I’m going to try a fresh one next time. I was a little apprehensive but it’s just like using a de. I really think it’s the best Evolution of the de. Fit and finish is excellent. The head is a dark grey, almost like raw titanium. The handle is blue anodized. It’s a deep rich blue, almost like something you would see on a fine firearm. The knurling is deep and crisply cut. It’s leaps and bounds above the first Maggard razor I bough, in terms of quality. But to be fair that first one was a scratch and dent, so I shouldn’t compare the 2. All in all, it’s a hell of a razor for around 35 bucks US.

Slants are really efficient. My experience with a slant was a good one.
I got the prototype Mercur 34c from Jimmyhad back when.
He actually invented it! Sort of!
Thing shaved great. Loaned it to my old landlord. He kept it. Perhaps I shall live long enough to get it back?

Waiting on this Joseph Cam Stubtail, the blade looks to be in great condition, I will be making a new set of horn scales + full restoration on the blade, looks like a keeper.

Got this lot if stones on ebay for $20. From the looks of it, should be worth it for the barber hone alone.

Two soft arkansas stones, a 8"x2" carborundum(both sides low grit), an 8"x3" carborundum which I may play around with a bit as the one side is smooth as glass after lapping, a small chunk of some type of slate and the barbers hone.

The Romo Fast Cut barbers hone seems to be one of those faux coticule stones. The light brown/orange side is soft and muddy feeling and the dark blue/black side is hard and somewhat gritty. Will definitely be playing around with ot to see how well it works.

I have that same exact barber hone still in the box. It works well but it is a little short.

I haven't really used it since I got my set of water stones but as I recall the blue side is the honing side and the red side is the finishing side... I think.

Mine has it's original box as well. From playing around with it, so far, the blue side is definitely the rougher side. The other side put a nice finish on one of my kamisoris. I'll know more when I actually shave with it in the morning.

Seriously though the only other complaint besides not being very long was that it wanted to scoot away while using.it so I put a rubber jar opening pad under it on the counter. That worked pretty well. The stone worked quite well. I really liked the edge the red side gave.
Oh yeah, and I used lather from the shaving soap.on it
