At the time I did want it. I just didn't study the picture hard enough
As far as withdrawing the bid, I wouldn't feel right doing that. I made an agreement, I won't weasel out of it due to my negligence.
It's all moot anyway. I had a $10.00 bid on a Wade and Butcher that ended up selling for $25.00, so all is well. Lesson learned (study the pictures very hard before hitting the bid button).

That's the way I feel, bidding is a contract, withdrawing because you've gone flaky on the deal is poor sportsmanship in my book. If you genuinely over bid then that's a different story. I know that's how I would feel in the sellers position too. Besides I would bet ebay keep an eye on this sort of activity anyway.

I have an omega 10098 and a tube of omega cream. The brush is great except for the stink. But that will go away, or so i am told.

I haven't done it but once or twice. It was usually something when making a bid, I accidentally hit the key one too many times & overbid. The other time I wrote the seller asking them to remove my bid when I barely noticed a crack in a blade after I put my bid in & they happily did & was very nice about it because even they didn't realize there was a crack in it either. Ebay does monitor those things from what I've read & they will suspend your account for a period of time which has never happened to me. I have 3612 100% positive feedback. You DO have the decision to do so if needed as long as you don't make a habit of it. I have had people ask me to remove a bid due to similar issues & I happily did. I understand that things do happen but it is good to be understanding because most people have been understanding to me if I ever had an issue with something. I understand when these things happen so I return favors when need be. I do understand what you are saying though.

Just had coffee with Valery of the Gentleman's Den, always great to get together and talk about shaving...he had three razor's finished for me, A Greaves 7/8 from rbaker, an old Crookes I found with just the blade, and an old Le Grelot Frameback that was in brutal shape that Valery brought back to life, which I'm also about to have my shave with...love the French framebacks!

Thanked: 4206If that's the Crookes on the bottom, envious. really nice line to that blade. Nice opposing angles on the scales..
All three are gorgeous. Val is very skilled at his craft.
If you are getting together again, informally with some stones,, hint hint,,, drop me a line.
Still want to crash the next honing party in the big smoke.
Cheers.

Yes, that's the Jonathan Crookes on the bottom...picked up the blade only for $20.00 from eBay, someone in Scarborough, turned out really nice!
Hey - sure...actually put a spot in your calender for maybe 6 weeks from now....he has a few other blades he's honing up and cleaning for me as well as he will have that rare Joseph Elliot Damascus razor, I'm sending it to him to tighten everything up, give it a nice honing (the way I like it) and make sure it's in stable condition. He had a look around and agrees with Voidmonster, he's seen thousands of blades, but never seen a JE Damascus (or that they made one), so we'll be getting together then....East end of the city, so you won't get creamed by traffic...will PM you when we get something arranged and would be great to meet you finally!

Thanked: 4206Never seen a Damascus steel razor in person. Damascus steel rifles, but never a shaver. Will be a pleasure for me to meet you as well as glom some tips from Val once more.
As long as its not the 25th of Nov I'm there.
Can't miss my 49th birthday. :-) much as I may want too....
Thanks Andrew..

Just now I have Razorock products coming
RazoRock La' Famiglia Aftershave Balm: Zi' Peppino
RazoRock Eau de Toilette Caprifoglio
I have no idea what the Caprifoglio smells like, it was a $30 extra spend to get $6 shipping free (Lets put it down to impulsive buying)
BUT - they assured me they would put in some Edwin Jagger samples so I'm looking forward to trying them too.
