Well, shoot! I guess I lost that pool
I spent a bit of time last evening going thru the posts on earlier results and opinions on bottles and it looks as though the woozy bottles were the front runners, and scent #3 and then we went thru a bad spell. And then I went thru a really bad spell ( shew, that was kinda scary reading .....lol ) I'm glad that time moves on
Of course as usual I'm about to bust with curiosity and the latest round I've received a few private reports, and this is the first time there is a more across the board favorable opinion on the scents.
I will say that each of you has always given a pretty robust opinion on what is liked or not liked and I for one really, reeeeeeelllly find it most helpful when you discuss your likes and dislikes.
RichZ you will receive your second set of boxes by this coming weekend, and everyone else will wait until next week. There will not be any difference in the scents but hopefully in the AS itself. I have not been using the correct solubizer/emulsifier in the correct ratio....a double whammy. I for one, can live with the AS being white, but the degree of separation is significant "to me" and needs to be corrected to the best of my ability.
I have kept some of each round that we have done, and have found the only one to have an agreeable amount of separation was the base for the Rose Milk, so this last and final round will include that base with the current scent blends, plus another sample of my trying to correct this latest base.
For the EDT version that went out......if you were a customer looking to purchase a small gift size or travel size, Do you find the container and spray apparatus suitable ?
Wishing everyone a wonderful week ahead.

Excellen-tay ( my french...lol ). The general consensus is much better this time "shew...wipes brow" it usually takes a disaster to move the pendulum in the right direction.
As far as choosing, yeah....I wouldn't want to be the person picking and I'm glad that falls on you fine Gentlemen rather than lil ole me.
Bottle selection....I called one company last evening after no response from the email end and am currently waiting for a phone call from "Lee". If he doesn't call by late morning I will be calling him.
I think the only consideration that needs to be made from a designer/shelf aspect is to know that one way or another the AS is going to be white. I truly believe I can minimize the degree of separation, sooooo its only left to consider the color of the glass.
Clear glass.......woozy bottle ( worchestershire ) Phoenix ( rectangle ) or Boston ( round)
the Phoneix has a sprinkler style opening. While the others would have orifice reducer
Amber........ only in Boston round
Blue
Green
Thinking strictly in terms of the label, the label must be printed on vinyl type stock to prevent the ink from running and will certainly give a Top shelf look. The label itself........ I ponder a bit over the colors against the background of white in a clear glass bottle vs a muted color thru amber, blue or green glass.
In strict terms of "identity" with the SRP shaving forum it is my opinion that the SRP logo be used, and a line underneath that says "Private Stock" which reaffirms to the person buying that you cannot get this any place else.
Depending on the bottle style chosen and the color of the glass the most appealing label colors may need to adjusted....
.....and while we have not discussed this for a VERY long time I feel the need to bring up the monies generated from the sales of the AS product for SRP.
For the label itself it will state somewhere on the bottle " made or distributed by TGQ " with contact info and how it is worded, usually ends up being an issue over label space and font size.
Price wise I can only give a broad statement saying that they will not be "cheap" and I will do my best to give a competitive price based against like quality. The essential oils used this time are not on the cheapie list..... nor is your AS a watered version of Aloe or Witch Hazel, but for me.....has become the jumping board of top shelf "true" AS made with quality ingredients.
While I am lousy at math and I hate paperwork, some way or another I want to donate a percentage of sales back to SRP to help with the running of the site. I mention the lousy at math part and paperwork simply because I would like to have some advise on how to acheive this end goal.
My current best method remains with pen and paper
Oh....and Rich have you tried the Blue experimental bottle yet ? I need to know what you think of the "texture"...... how does it feel on your skin ?
XXWarm Regards, Colleen
